Cacace left without a fight

Post by cocka09 »

Anto Cacace fight has been pulled from Saturdays card.

He should get as far away from Ol' Fish Eyes as possible.

Yep - really poor form given they supposedly knew about the visa issues a couple of weeks back. I don’t believe that they couldn’t get an adequate replacement in 2 weeks.

When was last time an away fighter on a Warren card never had a visa issue? Cacace the best fighter on the undercard as well

Ah crap, was the one fight on the undercard worth something. Bad luck for the lad.

Don’t worry.

Even if his opponent pulled out, they’d still have him on the card. Just doing pad work with John for half hour.

I think the tricky they have for Wembley is that they can’t start really early. I’m pretty sure I heard Warren say they’ve got 3 1/2 hours for the undercard fights (they’ve got 6 planned) and the ring has to be clear by 10pm for the main event ring walks to start.

So if they re-add Cacace then they may need to pull another fight. Hopefully he still gets paid though as for whatever reason he’s only had one fight in 2 and a half years.

Reece Bellotti is fighting the night before at York Hall, you'd think he would be happy for the exposure on a big show again and has obviously been in camp? Just a thought, very unfortunate for Cacace.

He won’t get paid unless he’s weighed in….. unless promoter is being very generous.

You would think so, but this undercard was cobbled together on a shoestring in the last few weeks.
If you looked for any fights on the night less than ten days ago there was only one fight and some TBA's.
Really dreadful for such a premier British event, and a PPV no less.

they cant at least get him someone to get some rounds in against?

cack's fought 3 times in the last 5 years, dreadful

meanwhile a guy like archie sharp who can barely beat area level opponents like ofori got pampered by fw, and a novelty fighter like tommy fury is still on the card. must be frustrating

Perhaps they’ll get him on the BT show next week replacing the Essuman fight. Given the limited time they have for fights at Wembley it’ll be tricky to squeeze him on unless another fight comes off.

Are you really amazed Tommy is on? Huge social media profile and Tyson's brother...

Sharp went to MTK I think. He was one of many to silently move away from Frank to either MTK or Probellum. I could imagine him, and others, asking Frank to take them back.
