Mick was/is a tout. I'd be shocked if he didn't have a decent ticket for this. Literally thousands of tickets still available. Viagoga alone showing 3k available.
Hopefully those buying to sell for big profit will feel the pain in their greedy pockets.

I suppose, old school wise, queue up and get their tickets like the rest of us? I considered buying more than I needed once I was in, but I'm not really into the scalping game and just wanted to go to the fight. I think there's probably some sort of software now that repeatedly attempts to log into something and get tickets for you?Controversial wrote: ↑21 Apr 2022, 15:28I've always wondered where ticket touts get their tickets from?
I remember the old days having an extra ticket for mates who had dropped out of things and touting them outside gigs and festivals myself. It was always a ball-ache. Touts would always be saying "buying any extra tickets" and then would ruthlessly undercut you. I'd always rather sell a spare ticket to a genuine desperate punter at cost price than get shafted by a tout.

Good promo by BT, hopefully the event can atleast break even.

The same tickets are available on all platforms. You don't just list them on one. And I'm not going, I don't like stadium boxing.

I’m really surprised how little they did promotionally for this yesterday. Just been on the BBC website and you have to do a fair bit of scrolling down to find the first article relating to the fight.
I’m sure that’ll change today with the weigh in but it certainly doesn’t feel to me that we’re c.36 hours from a monster PPV.

Maybe there isn't the editorial appetite for hyper-promoting a PPV sports event when many people are struggling with day to day living costs? When people are on the up, hearing about people making millions for something as trivial as a boxing match is aspirational. When people are on the bones of their arse, it's seen as obscene. Alphabet;s algorithms will almost certainly take these things into consideration. as will the editorial staff at more traditional outlets.maverick23 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 02:15 I’m really surprised how little they did promotionally for this yesterday. Its been in every national newspaper all week, on all tv channels, every time you watch IFL there's an advert. Apart from Eddie Hills in overdrive, what's the difference?maverick23 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 02:15 I’m really surprised how little they did promotionally for this yesterday. You do realise the ones on viagogo are sold? And who's told you 3k?. Why are the touts greedy? If you bought a chicken from a butcher's for a fiver are they evil because they got it for two quid?

I don’t read a paper midweek so can’t comment on what it’s been in but I’d be surprised if it’s been in The Times, Guardian, Independent etc all week so far.mickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:03Its been in every national newspaper all week, on all tv channels, every time you watch IFL there's an advert. I haven’t seen a thing about the fight on TV other than Sky Sports News who have done a little bit (nowhere near as much as for a Sky fight) and on BT.
The last time I checked the BBC sport is the most used sports site in the country. When Brook/Khan, AJ/Usyk and Fury/Wilder was happening the site was covered with things about it. This morning I had to scroll past some track cycling results to find the first article about the fight.
Yesterday, 48 hours before the fight, we had Francis Warren doing some interviews and Tommy Fury too. Why isn’t Bob doing some zooms? Where was Frank yesterday? And nothing from Tyson or Whyte.
I really like both Fury and Whyte and I’m looking forward to it. I just think it’s been promoted really poorly so far. Out of my casual boxing fan mates not one is buying it. A couple said they might stream it but the rest aren’t even going to watch. They need a spicy weigh in and I get things going.

I get every paper in Europe every morning! It's been in. Yesterday was only the undercard press conference. I suppose Francis has to earn his wages. We must have different social circles. Almost everyone I know will be watching, women and children included.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
It was only the undercard press conference because they didn’t do anything else. They could have done though. Even a 5 minute gloves are off between the 2 of them would have helped. Francis can lead the undercard press conference but that’s not to stop Frank getting on some of the early morning TV channels pushing the fight. Or trying to get on Sky Sports News or other avenues. Sky Sports News was more seemingly focused on Hatton returning yesterday than the Fury fight.mickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:40 I get every paper in Europe every morning! It's been in. Yeah - we must be in different social circles. My boxing mates will be watching but as I said only few of the casual ones will be. One didn’t even realise the fight was on Saturday.

If someone got the butchers before the doors opened and bought every single chicken for £5 and stood outside the shop selling them for £100 to all the Chicken Casuals so the Hardcore Chicken Eaters couldn’t get any then I’d think that he wasn’t a very nice person.mickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:08You do realise the ones on viagogo are sold? If people start scalping chickens I start scalping people. Keep chicken prices reasonable.Delta Jay wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:56If someone got the butchers before the doors opened and bought every single chicken for £5 and stood outside the shop selling them for £100 to all the Chicken Casuals so the Hardcore Chicken Eaters couldn’t get any then I’d think that he wasn’t a very nice person.mickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:08You do realise the ones on viagogo are sold? Why can't the hardcore chicken fans go to the wholesalers instead of letting those greedy butcher's rob them blind?

It's a gamble. I've bought too many chickens before, overpriced them, and they've gone off. Have to take a loss on them.Delta Jay wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 04:12Butchers opens at 6. I think it’s more a lack of good available content so far. People were saying how big the press conference would be given Whyte didn’t attend the first one. It was a damp squib in the end and nothing happened yesterday that would warrant making news/getting attention.jimmystone wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 03:01Maybe there isn't the editorial appetite for hyper-promoting a PPV sports event when many people are struggling with day to day living costs? I find it so hard to vibe how big certain fights are... on the assumption this (Fury vs Whyte) is a 40 million dollar fight.
-How big is AJ vs Usyk II?
Assuming Fury and usyk win ....
-How big would a Fury vs Usyk undisputed be?
-How big would an AJ vs Whyte II no belt fight be?
