Thanks to me I was watching a movie instead of that ugly rest of the card (it's free in Italy, btw)...

1st round difficult to score

Do the rules allow 10-10?

Anyways, 10-9 Fury.

2-0 Fury but a blind man could've scored the first two correctly.

30 - 27 Tyson. Dillian cannot get near him as I supposed, he is getting pinpointed all night.

Thought Whyte landed some excellent body shots in 5; however, he was slightly hurt and out boxed.

Whyte could be the worst actor in history. He barely got hit with that. “The Perfect Punch”? Give me a break. The push down was worse than the punch.

That my friends, was a first class dive. Not claiming Fury had anything to do with it but I can guarantee you that punch was just not enough to do what it did. Sad. Whyte never wanted to bring that belt home. He looked uncoordinated all night like he’s never thrown a left hand in his life. What a pathetic F’ng performance. One of the worst I’ve ever seen on a big stage like this. Just a flounder

As expected. Guess EO was wrong once again. :OhYes:

Let's see now if Fury retires or takes on the winner of Joshua vs Usyk. I'll stand by my prediction before saying he will fight the winner, but only if it's Joshua.

to take wilder again for example, wilder couldnt drop duhaupas at all with 11 rounds of flush loaded power shots. duhaupas showed way more toughness there than fury did

but some random journeyman dropped duhaupas and pov ktfo him
Chins are like socks, they wear out after time. Note, Duhapas got stopped after the Wilder fight and not before, and each KO took lesser time. Likewise, Wilder softened Stiverne up for the KO 1.
stiverne got stopped before fighting wilder and duhaupas also got dropped before facing big D

agree they wear out though

You could see Dillian sensed it late like the Povetkin one, closing his eyes and tucking his chin until he went flying. One last match, please, Tyson...

Did u just suffer a stroke? Something clearly wrong with your perception!

A full force uppercut right on the nerve centre on the tip of the chin! Equilibrium gone!

Did u see whyte try to take a straight step forward?

Whatever...

I just watched it. Definitely wasn't a dive. Whyte was fatiguing, and that shot sunk him.

From everything I heard Whyte was simply never in the fight never finding his range. Fury basically broke him down with jabs and check hooks, and when the opportunity came to throw the uppercut he did and it was over.

Whyte has been the number one contender for a long while but that in and of itself is proof of nothing. The reality is he was always a guy who was just outside the top three or four in the world. He's not one of the cream of the crop top heavyweights, regardless of having been mandatory for a long time.

On the basis of this performance it's very difficult for me to see him being able to beat Wilder or Joshua or Usyk. Fury hasn't had this easy of a night basically since he was fighting guys like Seferi, Pianeta, and Schwarz.

It doesn't mean that the win is meaningless, don't get me wrong, but an awful lot of people bought into the hype of Whyte being this major threat to the title when the reality is he went life and death with Joseph Parker not too long ago.

The only men out there capable of fighting Tyson Fury is Joshua or Usyk. Period. Everybody else is too limited or too slow or they have never quite broken through their own level.

Quite frankly I don't think anybody with a real brain that is geared towards boxing actually believes that Joshua could ever beat Fury. The only question mark is Usyk and even then I don't think anyone really gives the Ukrainian that big of a chance because he is so much smaller than Whyte.

More than a chance I'll state outright I think Usyk beats him, but obviously the possibility is equally good that I'm wrong, and I acknowledge that.

Difficult to say if Fury will continue to fight on or not. He has been acting so much differently than he has been in the past that it's hard for me to gauge what's what. I think it would be a categorical mistake to walk away and not defeat the Usyk-Joshua 2 winner, but I've been pretty adamant for a while that Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight of this era.

It seems the next outing will be against the UFC heavyweight champion in a special exhibition match with hybrid rules, which will be a lot of fun to watch. Of course it won't do anything for either man's career but it will be an interesting spectacle and sometimes combat sports needs spectacle.

Joshua-Usyk 2 is so far away (summer) that it's a shame we won't see an undisputed fight until either autumn or winter. Rematches are a detriment to the sport of boxing especially when they are not really warranted. We could have had the undisputed fight had team Joshua just stepped aside, and at this moment in time we could have had Fury-Joshua as the goodbye.

But too many people in this business are selfish. As for the hypothetical of Fury-Usyk, if indeed it does happen, I will go with Tyson Fury to basically win in pretty one-sided fashion where Usyk will either be running away trying to stay away from long jabs or get smothered the moment he gets in close.

I think Fury will get the itch to come back again. But I can't see him coming back for any kind of match it has to be the biggest fights possible otherwise it's not worth it to him. Of course we agree to disagree and that's what makes boxing fun more than any other sport because there are so many variables and intangibles that quite frankly anything can happen.

I would guarantee he'll come back again. No way he's gonna retire off of this fight. He's saying he's retiring for the same reason that Floyd "retired" briefly. To make 'em want you back. To make 'em pay more for you because hey...you're "retired"

It's just a little gamesmanship and marketing on his part, which I don't blame him for. Whether he intends to stick around or not there's really only like 2 or 3 more real MONEY fights out there for him at the most so he's gotta make the most of 'em.
