No doubt Fury's the man but he's not without faults, he needs to cross the Street instead of carrying on like he's done, it's like Spence swanning around like he's the man without going near Crawford
When did he duck AJ? When the arbitration forces the 3rd Wilder fight?

I don’t think Tyson has or would duck anyone. Same with AJ. I think Wilder ducked AJ and thought he’d blow away a weak Fury in their first fight.

If he wanted the undisputed fight with Joshua he would've got it, instead he was jumping around the ESPN studios signing the contract delighted to fight Wilder for a third time, there was no mention of step aside money, there was nothing from Fury that suggested he wanted that fight, most guys would be raging that their promoters cost them the opportunity to be undisputed and a £75mil payday

Tyson signed a contract that the arbitration enforced. Perhaps he received bad advice but if he’d just ignored the ruling then Wilder would have been going after his AJ money.

Yes - they could have looked at step aside money but Wilder didn’t seem interested in that. I wouldn’t call someone doing what a judge has ruled ducking! He certainly should have been pissed with Bob who was telling everyone it was a non issue.

Lost to McDermott; avenged that,
Cut by Wallin; wasn’t stopped because of how he was still fighting and winning with it.
Jack Reiss could’ve stopped the fight; but RIGHTFULLY didn’t.

He’s had luck to stay undefeated… but name me any top 50 fighter of the last 25 years and I’ll show you examples of how they’ve been ‘lucky’ too,

The hate towards Fury is insane; must come from the fact that people can’t handle how someone with his physique can be so extremely effective,

If Usyk beats AJ, and Fury dont want it, then you can see a difference in the equation cant you... Fury dont want it.

Fury is probably the best heavyweight of the post klit era. But you cant beat wilder a few times, bang out whyte and call yourself the king.
It's impossible to argue with any of this.

Poor Mickey. If Fury retires without fighting the winner of Usyk/Joshua, he's going to have to spend the rest of his life logging into Boxrec and defending his hero.
I'll be ok, Billy.

Fury is a gem. It's been a great journey following is career.

I've been a huge boxing fan since the early 1980s. Every single HW era has been called crap during that time.

I agree - although would add that every era has got worse since then .. we are at rock bottom right now when a guy with a physique like a 50 year old alcoholic can be the top man of his division.

I'm not sure about the word lucky. He's lucky to be champion in this era that about it really.

In this era he's fought the best on offer.

Luck never came to mind when thinking about fury. He fights in this era and he's the best of this era. He proved it. He'd be a fav over Usyk and I'd say he probably wins that fight handily.

Took me a long while to come around to liking Fury as most of you know. I don't consider him an all time great, but he's proven himself. To me anyway.

That’s about where I am with Fury. He’s (probably) the best of his heavyweight era, which is all anyone can be. Whilst the current heavyweight era does unfortunately happen to be pretty pants, that’s out of his control. Still needs to beat either Usyk or Joshua to fully cement himself as definitive number one for me though, otherwise he’ll always have a slight question mark against him.

Just Usyk and Joshua would be enough.

He doesn’t beat Joyce or even fight him really.

Wouldn’t almond seeing it though.

Fury isn't world class in the 80s to 90s.

No doubt he's the best around at the present time. Fury no way beats Lennox, Tyson or Holyfield, Not a chance against the 90s Foreman. Not a chance against Holmes. Close against Tommy Morrison wouldn't like to wager who would win. Herbie Hide again tricky imo, I think hide could be fast and catch Fury but Fury is a big bloke so 50/50. You can go on really looking at yesteryear boxers and who he could and could not beat. Mike Tyson even though smaller would knock Fury out. You can't say Fury is one of the best heavies of all time that's darn disrespect :shame:

Fury wouldn’t be anywhere near ATG even with those wins. If Lewis or Holmes were around now, they’d beat him comfortably.

Impossible to compare fighters of the 80s and now. Yes, there were more quality fighters around then but to singularly compare Fury to Ali, Lewis, Vitali, Frazer, ect isn’t possible as we have zero gauge on it.

Fact is… he is one of the best heavyweights of all time. Nico Ali Walsh literally just posted the same.

It is though difficult to judge Fury across different eras. He's almost in a weight division of his own in terms of his height and reach in particular but also his weight and as an earlier poster stated nobody his size has ever had his natural boxing ability. So he's unique really.

I've always thought if he was an average size HW at 6'3, 77 inch reach and 16-16.5 stone he'd be about British champion level.

The grandson of the “best ever” who is also a professional fighter tweets that Fury being one of the best ever holds more water than any of our opinions tbh.
