By the way definitely not a soft punch let alone a dive considering the man's tooth went flying out of his head after that uppercut.

Whyte was set up so well, Fury took that little feint back then stepped forward right as Whyte did. Beautiful short crisp uppercut, Fury's first of the fight. Absolutely devastating.
This fight has to raise Wilder's stock, correct? A lot of people have argued that Wilder was crap and if he fought a real fighter like Whyte he'd get his ass kicked. I disagree and this fight proves it.

I think Otto has dined out on that fight enough already, its time for him to make his own way now, particularly after his very average last fightmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 04:43must've raised otto wallin's stock big too right. cut fury worse than anyone, hurt him, won 3-4 rounds and never close to being stopped like whyte or wilderthereverend wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 04:39 Whyte was set up so well, Fury took that little feint back then stepped forward right as Whyte did. ya neither have i, too much today is done by proxy. 2 fighters who should face each other instead square off by comparing results vs common opponents. and people give out hypothetical wins based on a fighter doing better vs one guy than someone else did, etc
you gotta actually fight the fights

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | ESPN PPV - April 23, 2022
I successfully predicted that Tyson Fury would be lighter for the Dillian Whyte bout than his previous outing against Deontay Wilder (my guess for Tyson’s official weight only missed the mark by 5¼ lbs).
My pre-fight assertion about Fury’s ability to make Whyte’s boxing skills appear primitive by comparison to his own, also came true.
I also claimed that Fury would make his win over Whyte look easy if he was in better shape and displayed superior skills than he did for the third Wilder bout, which of course came to fruition.
That said, I was shocked about the following things:
• Dillian Whyte’s futile attempt to compete as a southpaw during the first round
• Dillian Whyte’s attempts to outbox a master boxer
• How quickly Dillian Whyte unravelled against Fury
• Tyson Fury’s one-punch KO
I hate to say this, since Dillian Whyte is one of my favourite fighters, but he’s 34 years of age, has only won one fight within the last 2½ years and appears to be past-his-prime.
He’s a had lot of tough back-to-back fights against top-ten world-rated fighters and appears to be a shop-worn spent force.
I hope he receives a $5m pay-out from his arbitration against the WBC and then hangs up his gloves for good.
If you take a look at many of the main or secondary world heavyweight titleholders during the last 35 years, it seems rather unfortunate that Dillian Whyte failed to capture the title, because in his prime, he was better than at least 90% of these guys:
• Trevor Bryan
• Mahmoud Charr
• Joseph Parker
• Lucas Browne
• Charles Martin
• Ruslan Chagaev
• Bermane Stiverne
• David Haye
• Nikolai Valuev
• Samuel Peter
• Sultan Ibragimov
• Oleg Maskaev
• Shannon Briggs
• Siarhei Liakhovich
• Hasim Rahman
• Lamon Brewster
• John Ruiz
• Herbie Hide
• Henry Akinwande
• Axel Schulz
• Bruce Seldon
• Michael Bentt
• Tommy Morrison
• Ray Mercer
• Francesco Damiani
• Tony Tucker
Could Dillian Whyte be one of the greatest heavyweight fighters to have never won a world title? I think so.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | ESPN PPV - April 23, 2022
Dillian Whyte's fixed payday of $7.4m (£5.5m) only equates to 18% of the $41m total purse pot, with the remaining 82% awarded to Tyson Fury.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | ESPN PPV - April 23, 2022
As predicted, easy win for Fury, he didn't even need to get out of first gear, no danger whatsoever from Whyte.

That sounds fair considering I could think of a handful of fighters that I actually would have paid to watch. Whyte wasn't one of them.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 06:53 Dillian Whyte's fixed payday of $7.4m (£5.5m) only equates to 18% of the $41m total purse pot, with the remaining 82% awarded to Tyson Fury.

Dillian Whyte claims Tyson Fury's push after the uppercut, which ended the fight, was illegal (due to hitting his head on the canvas scrambling his senses, rather than the shot itself):

You all came at me because I questioned the effectiveness of THE PUNCH and even Whyte agrees with me by saying that it WASN’T the punch that did the damage but the chest pass Fury did with Whyte’s body just after landing the punch.
It’s not often when a poster can win arguments here so cleanly. So please, get in the apology line in an orderly fashion and no pushing. You all were wrong so man the F up and give me what I deserve. Apology time fellas. EO, you’re first up. Make it come from the heart.

That my friends, was a first class dive. Not claiming Fury had anything to do with it but I can guarantee you that punch was just not enough to do what it did. Sad. Whyte never wanted to bring that belt home. He looked uncoordinated all night like he’s never thrown a left hand in his life. What a pathetic F’ng performance. I expect an apology by days end, EO. Right from his own lips, the punch wasn’t anything. Right from Whyte’s own lips. You can’t win an argument this clearly so let’s see it.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 21:23I know that you’re an old dude Caldo, so perhaps mental capacity issues have caused your recent penchant to submit bizarrely illogical irrational out-of-character comments to the forum.caldo2025 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 20:40Ya, none of the heavyweights ever took a flimsy punch like that! Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | ESPN PPV - April 23, 2022
The videos I’ve seen of the knockdown don’t appear to show Whyte’s head hitting the canvas with any real force whatsoever. And even if it did, Tyson didn't put any real leverage behind his gentle shove that minimally contributed to Dillian's fall.caldo2025 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 10:35It’s not often when a poster can win arguments here so cleanly. If you can furnish the forum with a video clearly proving that it was Whyte’s head hitting the canvas that scrambled his senses (caused by Tyson putting his full force into pushing Dillian) rather than Fury’s uppercut, then I’m more than willing to offer a sincere apology.
At this moment in time, Whyte’s complaints about the nature of the stoppage superficially appear to be a rather weak excuse to save face.

Remember Ali v Liston 2, when one US pussy collapses from an arm punch from another US pussy. Well the Fury punch landed on Whyte is stratospherically more debilitating than the pussy US version.

THE point, Mr. ICANTSAYSORRY, is that the recipient of the phantom punch that you All Swore was so incredibly vicious clearly tells you all how it was not. Look if you can’t believe it coming from the actual mouth that got hit in the mouth then you all are more pathetic than even I even thought.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 10:48The videos I’ve seen of the knockdown don’t appear to show Whyte’s head hitting the canvas with any real force whatsoever. Whyte clearly states that the punch didn’t do any damage. You guys called me crazy and old and dumb…I don’t exactly argue of the latter but that’s not the point. You couldn’t be proven incorrect any more thoroughly than this so it’s time to show everyone that you aren’t the virgin basement dwelling pop tart for dinner eating pj’s wearing scooter rider that you are. Be a man.
