Re: Boxing News 1940s
Thanks I wondered if the ones from 1940 to 1944 were rarer due to it being the war etc.

Re: Boxing News 1940s
Boxing News complete years bound from the 1930s used to sell for around £250. Now they go for a lot less. I guess the interest just isn't there any more.
1940 to 1945 are a lot rarer due to the war. But, because of the war they are a lot smaller and don't have so much in them. I would suggest around a fiver a copy.
From 1946 onwards, less again. If in good nick then maybe three or four pounds a copy and perhaps £100 for a complete year. From 1950 onwards much less again.
I hope this helps

Over priced that one. I've seen copies from the 1970s on ebay being sold for £20. Inevitably they didn't sell.Controversial wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 09:05 There is one issue from 1949 on eBay in pretty good condition and thats selling for £6.99

If you're patient, you can get them dirt cheap.
Around nine months ago, I watched a set of four bound volumes covering 1946 to 1949, sell for the grand total of £55.

Re: Boxing News 1940s
I've got MOST of them from 1938 - 59... missing a lot of Individual Issues from 38, 40, 41 & 42
£1.99 - £5.99 is most often the Prices you'll see per issue, sometimes Cheap Lot Prices as stated, do come up, especially from the 50s onward.
also as stated a few Years back they were worth quite a bit more... I sold my Collection 100 Years of Boxing History - the Ring Magazine, Boxing News and at least 70 odd Boxing books for £3,000, which was about 2K Short really.
Anyway I've got Quite a Few Doubles 'IF' your interested... PM me, I'll look them out and I'm sure we can work out a Price.
Cheers.
