I personally think it’ll be a close fight.
I had the Dubois fight daily close before he stopped and Joyce loved getting hit by Takam.

I just thought it was really strange to announce a fight that wasn’t signed. I’d be saying the same regardless of who was promoting.

The worlds media and fans was watching, so it was an unmissable opportunity to announce it. Clearly it’s just minor details/signatures to work out anyway otherwise I’m sure David Higgins wouldn’t have agreed to it being discussed.

Can't believe Warren was talking about putting this in a stadium. He would need a much better undercard than tonight to have a chance of selling out the o2 Arena.

Ballsy fight for both men and credit to them both of them because both are highly ranked in alphabetland and both could have protected their rankings by choosing easy fights.

Both men have good chins, but I am going with Parker's superior speed and movement to take the decision.

Joyce will make it tough though, because he literally is a human juggernaut and Parker will not want to eat too many of his thudding jabs, but I believe Parker will see Joyce's jab as Joe Joyce is so slow and counter with his speed.

I wouldn’t have had any issue about it being discussed. Just found it weird to announce a fight without a date, location or an agreed/signed deal. Not quite minor details.

I got the impression that Joyce thought it was all sorted whilst Parker clearly didn’t. I saw an interview with him post show where he was asked when he’d go into training camp and he said he’d sort that once the deal was done.

Too true and he arguably had the Whyte fight been 20 seconds longer, he might have won by KO, because Dillian was completely exhausted and had nothing left.

Don’t think Parker has enough pop in his shots to stop Joyce relentlessly plodding forward and mauling him.

They’re both such nice guys so it’s unlikely to happen but I’d liketo see some real bad blood between them in the hope that it would encourage Fury to seek revenge on behalf of his mate should Joyce bludgeon Parker to defeat.

Has to be PPV surely. I'd buy the shit out of it with a decent undercard, this is one of my favorites possible fights, it's basically number 3 vs number 4 in my mind (I'm the minority on that assesment...). An interim or vacant WBO would help sales.

Problem is July is going to be stacked I think. AJ vs usyk. Eddie planning a Chisora fight July. Ufc always do a mega card July (Mabey Connor). And I have a feeling a few more big cards will be due by then, it's the last chance to fight and be able to fight again before Chrissy.

I've met him a few times just to say hello to and wish him good luck.

He should have had the gold medal. And I think he's been very unlucky with his career. A granite-chinned heavy with ring intelligence and a formidable engine is a dangerous opponent.

I can see him as a kid playing quietly in the corner with his Tonka trucks. As much as I love boxing I don't like many boxers, but JJ's class. I wonder if he might have high-functioning autism like Tom Stoltman.



Because when it comes to his engine, rather than being naturally blessed I think he just trains properly! I like Parker, too.

for some reason i always forget how much of an absolute unit joyce is.....made parker look like a wee man in their head to head. dude is every bit of his listed 6'6 and is one of the very few guys who is still fairly trim at 260, without being some overpumped bodybuilder

he is up there with fury with just being a different species size wise, not as long but thicker
