Hearn trying to add some heat.

Great move by Eddie. Presumably Fury won’t have a problem with this, nor Frank. Fury did say he was retiring, after all...

Frank will. I think he has already lined up Joyce v Parker for the vacant belt should Fury retire. They have the rankings.

If Fury retires I’ll pay my TV License for once.
Feel free to finish this sentence with me;

What a crap way for anyone to become undisputed.
Imagine if Joshua got given a gift.

What a crap way to retire, by not trying to become undisputed.
Let's face it, Fury has prior form for d*cking everyone around.
If he says he is retired - and he has categorically - then take him at his word and move the heck on...
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
Well hopefully it will call his bluff , he should be given a date to actually retire or committ , stop fooking about
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
What a crap post.
Of course Fury should fight for undisputed if that comes along but it’s his prerogative to do so. Or not.
Form for ducking everyone around? Like who? You can always say names but after he went to Germany and the US to fight an undefeated world champion with like 39 KOs from 40 fight you can always nit-pick.
He beats Usyk and you’ll say he’s ducking Joyce. You can’t fight everyone.
Yes I’d like him to win all 4 belts but it’s up to him what he does.
The WBC should go to their 1 and 2 next in line; not take the money option by going to Usyk/Joshua.

You got me so wrong!
Let me explain - I don't swear online or in real life, I was not using ducking, replace the "u" with an "i".
And I should have used mucking around instead of d*cking.
Sorry about that.

If Fury retires after throwing his best punch of his career, in front of 94k, against a domestic rival, for the lineal and WBC, for nearly 30mil…
As much as I want him to carry on… it’s not a bad way to go tbh. I’ve seen many great great fighters leave the sport otherwise.

If he retires now he's not a great IMO. That would be a shame because I think he has the potential to be the best. I don't think it was anything like the best punch of Fury's career. Whyte came plodding in, square on like a rank novice. Easy pickings for a showreel kayo.
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
The guy fought 6 days ago.
Why are so many folk in a rush to get him stripped? There are some fighters in the top 10 who haven't fought in over a year.
Lots of fighters say stuff in the heat of the moment then change their minds afterwards.
Give him some peace for a few weeks at least.

He has categorically said in multiple interviews that he has retired, he said leading up to the fight it was his last.ewenhay wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 16:16 The guy fought 6 days ago.

Few people are keen to let this drag on like the Klitchko situation, or the Wilder 3 delays, or the two warm up fights, or all the bull surrounding signing to fight Joshua.
Enough is enough.
If he says he is retired, good for him, and let's move on. We have wasted enough time on that guy. Literally years.
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
It's only been 6 days since he fought. People wouldn't be calling for any other fighter to be stripped. Its a bit of a witch hunt.KiwiRider wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 16:37He has categorically said in multiple interviews that he has retired, he said leading up to the fight it was his last.ewenhay wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 16:16 The guy fought 6 days ago.

Give him some peace for a few weeks and see what he's saying then. Its just part of his personality to have mood swings like this.
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
Yeah exactly. Give it a few weeks and if he’s still saying the same stuff then the WBC can strip him.
No way should the vacant belt be in the Usyk/Joshua fight though.
Wilder v Parker/Joyce late in the year is the next logical fight for them. If Wilder isn’t fighting then you’re looking at the Ruiz/Ortiz winner.

Wouldn't be ideal, can't see Fury retiring for good but whether it's long enough before he gets stripped, probably but I'd have no qualms with Usyk/Joshua picking it up, at least it sews up the division for now if it was to happen
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
If Fury is vacating then it should go to Usyk-Joshua 100%
Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
I think Fury lost the IBF title 3 days after winning it! In reality AJ never won any of his belts from champions.handsofstone wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 16:56Wouldn't be ideal, can't see Fury retiring for good but whether it's long enough before he gets stripped, probably but I'd have no qualms with Usyk/Joshua picking it up, at least it sews up the division for now if it was to happen
It would be poetic if he won the undisputed in the same way.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Also Parker beat Fat Andy and defended against "Shades of Ali"

Re: Eddie hearn to petition WBC for vacant belt- Usyk - Joshua 2 undisputed
fury's retirement is nonsense, give him a couple weeks
the undisputed gotta be fury vs usyk-aj winner next. take either guy out of the equation and any undisputed fight just isnt the same
if fury reaally retired and waas out of the picture, usyk-aj 2 is highest ranked fight. but latching on a vacant title to become undisputed just seems wrong. i like the idea of parker-joyce fighting for wbc, then the winner fighting the usyk-aj 2 winner.
you also gotta wonder if the wbc would find a way to get the wbc back to pbc: ruiz - ortiz

Asking for the WBC is cheeky. But should get the ring belt on the line.
If WBC vacant is going anywhere chuck it on Joyce vs Parker. That way you have a legitiament undisputed possible end of the year.
