Vargas edging the rounds but he’s having to put loads in to it. Even though I’ve got Smith 2 down I’m more confident he’ll stop him than I was prefight

Left hook to the body has been the shot that’s hurt Vargas every time the last 3 or 4 rounds.

I’d be looking for that shot if I was Liam.

Yeah Liam is bloody under rated isn’t he?

Some had it 50-50 going into the Fowler fight and he more or less made it look like Childs play.

Other than the usual slow start tonight he seemed in control.

Really good engine and technique and decent power. Hope he gets a world title shot.

Great win for him.
Dunno where he goes from here? All the belts are tied up until later in the year. Can’t imagine he will be next in line to fight for all 4 belts.
Kurbanov rematch? Tsyzu in a final elimination fight?
Cash out against Eubank at middle?

liam's good for sure, but not sure why that would be rated as a greaat win?

vargas is a career 140-147 fighter and hadnt fought in 2.5 years, a loss to mikey garcia. he's won 1 fight in the last 5 years.

It’s just the way he went about it.

Smith isn’t seen as world level is he?

Maybe fringe world level?

I Dnuh. He held the world title for a few years, but Frank could probably get me a shot at the WBO belt if he wanted to.

Vargas was tough, but let's be real, he isn't up there with the best in the di ision.

Beefy is a solid pro though

Bellew has no socks on. He gets worse

Was a pretty clinical way to take care of business tbh. Inactivity or not… to stop Vargas is a bit of a standout.

inactivity, and the fact that vargas isnt a 154 pound fighter......his only previous fight there (well, a 150 catchweight) was vs a guy whose prime was at 130. if he keeps fighting full fledged 154ers expect a lot more stoppage losses

Will we get some river dance nonsense in the ring before the fight?

Hearn loves the cheesy edge

Reasonable points ,, but i stillliked the lok of Smith , clincal at the end , mixing his punches up looked good ,, will concede his opponent was a good one for him to look good

beefy's always done those things up to a certain level tbh. tonight he implemented it well, but it's really nothing new for him. i'd be worried for liam if he couldnt beat up vargas at this stage
