Authorities in several countries are of the belief that MGM/MTK was set up deliberately to launder drug and gun money through boxing, If that is indeed the case it would mean that boxers were paid at least in part by that money. The boxers could get it recovered from them under the proceeds of crime act. How would that be "great for boxing" and doing "a lot for boxers"? It would mean he had used and abused boxers.

Well it is stupid. Even at a very basic street level the successful ones have jobs that they really don't need. You need a visible form of income. You cant have nice things with no income or universal credit.
