Claressa Shields said she thought Taylor won. In my opinion, the two judges who scored the fight for Taylor and anyone else who thinks Taylor deserved to win is biased. Serrano arguably should be undefeated. She also got robbed in Sweden against Frida Wallberg. Serrano is the real pound for pound number one.
Why would Shields be bias for Taylor ??
She is biased because she wants to be considered the pound for pound best female boxer. Since Taylor will never leave the lightweight division, Shields is never going to fight Taylor. Therefore, Shields can say that Taylor deserved the win against Serrano. However, Serrano has fought and been a world champion in multiple weight classes. Serrano is more likely to move up in weight to fight Shields than Taylor. Shields would have to come down in weight and maybe they could fight at welterweight (147), but it's not outside the realm of possibility. Serrano has fought at super lightweight (140) once.
I don't think Shields wants to fight Serrano in order to maintain her undefeated record and to continue claiming that she is the greatest female boxer of all time which she does claim. Not only of this current time, but for all time. Shields has even said that she is the best boxer of all time except for Muhammad Ali. Forget about Sugar Ray Robinson or Roberto Duran. Shields is the best boxer ever out of all the male and female boxers in boxing history except for Ali. I think Shields will lose to Savannah Marshall, but for now, Shields does not want to have any boxer be considered No. 1 that she could possibly fight in the future.
