He might announce his retirement.

Even if he's planning to fight the winner of Usyk v Joshua it's not like he needs a belt to make that fight happen.

And he'll still claim the lineal just to get folk wound up about it.

Yes, it's not like he won't get the fight if he comes back. He's the biggest draw now and even more so as a 'comeback lineal champion'. He'll want and should get the lion's share v either Joshua or Usyk come what may.

If it was say Kambosis doing it, after beating another decent fighter or two nobody would be saying let him keep his belts.

the biggest thing we can lose out on is fury-aj/usyk 2 winner. hope that somehow still happens regardless of any decision here

if he actually does retire, obviously he isnt a reigning champion anymore. if retired fighters stayed champs fury wouldnt ever become a champ, as retired dudes before him wouldve held onto them

Most retired boxers come out with like a long retirement post usually.. not all of them do of course.

If he does retire, make wilder - Sanchez or Parker - Joyce for the vacant belt, don't just drop it on the Usyk AJ fight.

Exactly. He’s been saying it since before the fight. I want him to fight the AJ/Usyk winner but if he doesn’t want it that’s fine by me.
