Eric Guy fundraiser
To clear up the other page I will post Erics gofundme in here.
I might have had some unkind things to say but I have donated and hopefully some more posters can do the same.

No they dont. Universal credit pays a certain amount of rent. And as my wife works. They take that into account. Sometimes uc paid nothing!!. So could not afford some of the rent or council tax during covid.. And 28 months add up hope that explains why i am in this situation .

Hmmmmm It rather sounds like you mismanaged your finances and have got into debt. Do you drink or smoke?ERIC GUY wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 15:11 No they dont. Re: Eric Guy fundraiser
Council tax is different from UC. you fill in forms. Show your earnings. And they set a % for you to pay. But for us. It was about 15% discount each month.. Hence that was not paid in full each month. I dont smoke or drink. I have NOT mismanaged my finances. I had no incoming money. My wife worked.

Re: Eric Guy fundraiser
So your wife’s earnings should have covered the rent and council tax? Why didn’t she pay it?
I don’t want to be mean, but if you expect us to sort your financial issues with our hard earned money, to help you, we need more information. You’ve already taken £5k which seems pretty good to me.

I’m sorry it’s fair enough to ask questions. There are a lot of scams around. I once gave £50 to help someone and it was revealed days later as a total scam. It was in the papers. I never got the money back.dookus wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 17:05SecondedCoco wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 16:22Don't be a prickJamesPhilips wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 15:22

And this sounds well dodgy. Just cos he’s a boxing person doesn’t mean he’s trustworthy.
Re: Eric Guy fundraiser
My mother always said if you hav'nt got anything nice to say , KEEP YOUR GOB SHUT ..... so i'll say this Amir Khan must be a nice bloke deep down he donated a grand what a nice gesture .
Re: Eric Guy fundraiser
Eric is a 100% genuine bloke, he is firmly part of the UK boxing furniture.
Re: Eric Guy fundraiser
Why would you say its dodgy. You think amir Khan would send me a grand if he thought i was dodgy ! All the people that have donated know me. Because you got scammed. Don't tarnish others. Many people have my details to contact me.. I raised a lot for my diabetes uk charity fight. So its not that i have given so much to others. You dont know me. Anyone that has net me. Will tell you about me..JamesPhilips wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 17:13I’m sorry it’s fair enough to ask questions. There are a lot of scams around. But i think you would of got a lot better response if you had a help me get a job page , reached out for work instead of money to pay the rent you should of been paying ,, shout out on the lines of my names Eric a lot of you know me , you know i've boxed and therefore am reasonably fit and strong ,, i'm also desperate for a job , covid hit me hard and my family are in financial difficulties , i really need to get myself out of this financial mess ,, don't want handouts i need a job , i'll do anything has long has it pays , need your gutters cleaned , need your lawns mowed , want someone to labor on the building site , want a nightwatchman for your building site , i'm your man , don't want charity I NEED A JOB , Thanks in advance hopefully someone out there will need a good worker

Eric I was a homelessness officer for my local council, I don't know if there's any advice I can offer of what to say or do but feel free to pvt message me if you need any advice on dealing with your council or on the notice you have been served as I could have a look and see if it's valid etc.
