I think so.

Then literally 6 months later, he fought Spence.

That fight I wouldn’t call a beating.

Of course the eye damage. He didn’t look that good in the Crawford fight when he got clipped. Khan is nowhere near his prime and naturally a much smaller man that Brook. Couldn’t put a dent in him even if he was given a free shot.

Maybe they tried making the Benn or Eubank fights and they thought it’s not worth it.

Despite a chaotic out of the ring lifestyle, Fw was writing to judges about him pre British title days, being thrown in with a peak GGG and actually doing well, I believe without that fight he might have beaten Spence. It was a shame he got stabbed on a family holiday and it was blatantly obvious he took the Crawford fight for cash alone. He/Terry even dropped Ingle to save cash. Getting Amir was a dream come true but I would have backed him against Khan at any stage. He trained like a demon for him. Imagine what he could have achieved If he'd trained like that all his career?

I'm disapointed not to see him box again but fair play to him. Brook-Benn or Brook-Josh Taylor would of been interesting fights. Eubank was probably too big for him, although he might have had too much class for Eubank. I doubt any of them match the event size of Brook-Khan and he's got to go out on top with his faculties in tact

Yes I'd say he somewhat underachieved. He had the beating of Spence I felt. Never easy to go up to 160lbs then back down again, nevermind the eye injury.

Happy for him though he's still had a great career, has his health and made lots of money.

Fair play to him jumping up 2 weight divisions to take on GGG, just never saw how he could have won that and it probably did take the best years and fights away from him

The GGG fight was a disaster. Really like Kell and agree with Mickey that he could well have beaten Spence without it.

Brook is a favorite of mine. He gave 100%.
His first 4 rounds vs GGG was a great effort. Winning on 1 card and tied on the other 2.
The sucker was tough.
I will miss him and wish him well

So pleased. He has had a superb career and gets out with cash in the bank, a fine legacy, his faculties in tact and finishes on a big win. You can't ask for much more than that.
