Are Joshua Buatsi and Gilberto Ramírez future Canelo opponents?

Post by Enlightened-One »

Both guys are unbeaten and are aligned with DAZN?

2024 for both guys?

Thoughts?

Even if they are options I'd think they'll have to do more to make themselves noteworthy opponents for a fighter of Canelo's status.

They should be. I think park of canelos plan naming a 6 fight list that included no up and commers is to get those guys less focused on him and taking real fights. For canelo to continue racking up an ATG resume, he needs some of his potential future opponents to take big fights and become worthy opponents for an ATG.

Id say these guys are all within range of being credible canelo opponents within the next few years: Ramerez, Buatsi, Yarde, andrade, benevidez, berlanga, zack parker, David Morrel, Charlo, Mung, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, even ammo williams,,

But for those guys to become credible canelo opponents, they kinda need to beat someone else on the list, orrr, beat multiple people just off the list. (some need several interim fights too.)

Giberto who? He seems to be forgotten, maybe for a reason? Still unbeaten, correct?

Buatsi and Zurdo are both headlining DAZN boxing events.

Their profiles are being “sold” to their subscribers.

In terms of Zurdo, I believe your criticism of him is reasonable and justified, but despite his poor resume, DAZN really are pushing him.

The same applies with Buatsi too.

Hence the reason why I reckon both men will probably be matched with Canelo from 2024 onwards (assuming both remain unbeaten during the interim).

I have no criticism for Ramirez.. Making a joke. He needs big fights to show his talent. Resumes don't do the boxing. No one really knows how good he is just yet.
