if beef boi and fat Eddie really think they actually won the fight and the judges didn't score in Canelo's favor... well, WHAT TYE ACTUAL FVCK!!!
it's mindboggling.
their delusion is beyond description.
they act like they don't know that the judges were in their pocket and did fvckin' absolutely everything to fvck bivol over. insane!

I didn't get to watch it until 4 am and new the results by then.
But I scored it 11-1 giving Canelo only the 9th.
I may have scored another round or 2 for Canelo if I didn't know results but I doubt it
Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
And I see that Bivol won by margins of 115-113 across the board. So it takes winning every round almost to eke out a reasonably close decision over Canelo
Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
I picked Bivol to win, but honestly didn't think he would. It was a matter of wishful thinking more than anything. Thought he'd lose on the cards. I agree with 11-1 or 12-0. Bivol fought the perfect fight, and was better than I thought. I have my doubts Canelo goes through with the rematch.tiny_acres wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 11:30I didn't get to watch it until 4 am and new the results by then.

Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
The first 5 rounds were relatively close but bivol looked to me to win all of them. That all 3 judges gave all of the first 4 to canelo is criminal and why this is to date the only fight ive watched all year
Canelo looked tired from round 3 on. His new diet was a disaster
Bivol jabbed like kovalev but unlike kovalev would throw combinations and push canelo back.
When canelo landed bombs bivol wasnt bothered whatsoever
Only clear canelo round was rd 9

You have to give Canelo the 9th. It was a clear one.tiny_acres wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 11:30I didn't get to watch it until 4 am and new the results by then.
But I scored it 11-1 giving Canelo only the 9th.
I may have scored another round or 2 for Canelo if I didn't know results but I doubt it
I also gave him one of the first 4 which were so close anyway. He just had eye catching Vs volume in one of them.
So 10-2.
You could maybe argue another of the first 4 making it 9-3 but I struggle to see any more than that.
Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
I gave 1 round to Canelo. But yeah 12 round to Bivol could've been good too.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 09:08Can’t argue with that.
But I think rd9 was a clear Canelo round.
The ONLY clear round he won.

I thought the absolute stretch was 8 to 4
9 to 3 most likely or 10 to 2
11 to 1 not unreasonable
Finding 5 or 6 rounds for canelo is why boxing isnt a serious sport

Bivol is a classy operator who fought well, had a size advantage, drastic stamina advantage, and canelos power didnt bother him at all
Canelo landed some big rights and uppercuts early. Bivol responded with combinations and a busy jab. Anelo looked very frustrated and tired early on
Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
Thanks Jeff - what I noticed through limited highlights was Canelo being too squared up which made Bivol's jab more effective as it threw him off balance, forcing him to spend a whole lotta time re-setting up. Also bivol's jab and ability to 'change speeds' seemed to screw up Canelo's timing even more. By the latter half of the fight, Alvarez was throwing wild bombs hoping to land anywhere with Bivol tatooing him with counters. Sounds like the scores were a wee bit off on this one.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 15:43Bivol is a classy operator who fought well, had a size advantage, drastic stamina advantage, and canelos power didnt bother him at all

Our sport is in so much trouble.
The fact the correct man had is arm raised by the ref after the judges "scoring" in no way detracts from the fact the fix was planned until Bivol's performance made it impossible.
3 score cards exactly the same? Fishy AF.
We need the crooks out of boxing....we should start with those 3 "judges".

i thought canelo only won 1 clear round, think it was the 9th? he seemed to give a last hurrah in that round (well, it was really his only hurrah lol) and then had little left after. bivol did little that round and seemed to intentionally let canelo use up energy
i also edged him an early round, and ended with 10-2....but can see as wide as 11-1
7-5 is waaay too close and all 3 cards being identical is defo shady

Re: Round-by-Round: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Dimitry Bivol | DAZN PPV - May 7, 2022
bivol was just really really skillful, had the right gameplan and stuck to it, and also is the wrong style for canelo to beat
it wasnt a size based 'oh he just was too big and strong' performance where a clearly superior fighter is just outmuscled or overpwered. bivol had canelo swinging and missing and hitting gloves all night, which wasnt due to size. bivol was also the more accurate puncher too and had more stamina.
if size came into it, it was that bivol being a lhw had no problem with the shots that canelo did land , and when he landed he had canelo looking more stung/worried than i'd seen before. not rocked, but an 'oh shit' kind of surprise looked. it was a rare fight where canelo looked a bit gun shy to me
bivol also stepped up his offence more than usual, especially in the last 3 rounds. he was mauling canelo on the ropes at times
canelo landed enough uppercuts so that it wasnt quite as dominant as floyd's win over him, but it was the next level of dominance from that imo.

I thiught canelo would be a le to outmuscle him. He couldn't. I thought canelo would lose to beterbiev and still do.
If im canelo i whup ggg and retire

He’s 31 and in prime form. And LHW is only a step too far at the very pointy end. He could make a career like Zurdo at LHW knocking over paper prospects until he retires. But he took on the second best champ and lost.

It sure ain't the money.
Even if he does avoid high risk fights, still gotta give him a pass based on what he has achieved - I just won't pay for it.

I agree, lot of top level stuff. But then it is only the modern era guys that retire after 40 or less fights. Look back 50 years to guys doing 100+ 15 round fights...Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 19:49Hes been fighting top level for about a decade and has fought a lot of rounds - 24 with ggg, 12 bivol, 12 jacobs, 12 cotto, 12 mayweather, 12 trout..... list goes onKiwiRider wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 19:43He loves to fight.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 19:41
