Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
missed the first 3 rounds, yoka showed good heart through 4,5,7 when it was tough. but then just never went for the win in the last few. especialy the last round, was just willing to take a decision loss, which is poor always, but very poor when your a 250lb gold medalist... always a punch away from victory and just chosing not to engage.

Bakole is a lazy fat idiot. He should’ve kod Yoka early
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
Don’t speak French so didn’t understand the scores when they were read out but if there was a 94-94 in there, that’s as bad as it gets!

A lot of Quatre-vingt douzes in there.
Well done from Bakole and he does the post-fight interviews switching seamlessly from French to English, which is kinda cool.
Really good win and shows what we knew already about Yoka.

Horrendous scores but at least the decision was correct. Knew Bakole was all wrong for Yoka, seemed so obvious.
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
Wow , Yoka was really disappointing and Bakole just bullied and clubbed him around the ring , pretty basic stuff to beat a former Olympic champion .
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
Good effort from Bakole, best performance I've seen from him. Yoka showed heart and did land some nice punches throughout but looked very, very vulnerable and I think most top big hitters will have a field day against him. Bakole breaks into the top 15 with this one for me.
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
Obviously biased scoring, but right man won.
He won it so big he couldn't be jobbed - like Bivol.

Yoka was very brave he took a thrashing in there, I don’t mind him staying out of trouble in the last round, he’d landed his best shots & wasn’t moving MB and was just seeing it out to fight for another day. Martin should’ve probably finished that, he needs that killer instinct as he is moving forward I think

You're either a troll or drunk, possibly both.
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
Yoka is a rich man's Audley.
Looks like he's got the lot, but he doesn't.
IF he could just add this, and IF he learned from that, IF he got really dedicated etc. he'd be really, really good, but, he won't.
Doubt he wants it enough.

One of the cards was 96-94 for Bakole. How in hell do you get to that score when there were 2 knockdowns? It's mathematically impossible...
Serious question.

Funny thing was Yoka was a fairly big favourite with the bookies.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑14 May 2022, 17:53 Horrendous scores but at least the decision was correct. Knew Bakole was all wrong for Yoka, seemed so obvious.

To be fair, I think the lumbering Bakole has put him in hospital , his nose had gone very early on .
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole - May 14, 2022
It might be the man I saw from a distance last night, Chisora's, time to drop out but 10-15 is fairly interchangeable to be honest.CMCanavessi wrote: ↑14 May 2022, 18:21Who do you take out to make room for Bakole? Pulev fights later tonight. We'll see how that goes.

Nah. He missed drug tests rather than failed them.
And the Olympic final was fair enough, it was a very close fight
