I can't see Ramirez coming over to the Uk,

In the same interview as the Ramirez talk, Hearn said Benn wanted Thurman but Hearn said he wants one more before letting him in go in with someone like Thurman.

Says it all.

Who are the bums he’s been feasting on? Are Algeiri and Van Heerden bums?!

A good matchup. It will be a step up to the top level for Benn, so this is intriguing, since Benn has never faced anyone of that caliber, but looks ready to enter such level.

He’s deffo not been fighting bums but they’ve deffo selected a certain demographic.
Light punching, over the hill fighters.
I know Peraud had him down but those were from technical mistakes by standing pure square on.
Chin seems okay to me… so it’s weird he’s not in with anyone who can punch and seems to actively avoid them.

Any sparring rumours around about him getting banged?

Thought Conor looked a little ‘chunkier’ last night tbh.
Maybe knows he’s doesn’t have to make welter for his next fight?

Yeah - Benn should have fought a much higher level of opposition in his 4th fight.

Talking about Thurman in September now.

Unsure if they mean Keith or Uma.

Also noticed that Benn is ranked top 5 in all organisations; how the hell does that happen when Boxrec has your best ranked opponent being number 23 in Formella, who will likely drop lower if Kongo beats him.

Obviously Hearn is waiting for the 4 belts to fragment which I think they will. I can see both Crawford and Spence moving up to chase money if they can’t fight each other.

Therefore no way that Benn gets anyone remotely dangerous in the next 2/3 fights. I can see the likes of Ramos, Sandor Martin, Ortiz (Vic not Verge) get the gig next.

Horseshit.

Then Espinoza came out and said Hearn just using Thurman’s name.

Espinoza isn’t a promoter, he’s in the same position as Adam Smith.. yet he acts like he owns and promotes PBC guys.

Ellerbe just came out too not long before, calling DAZN failure and Hearn Doesn’t know what he’s doing in the US.

Hearn is a lot of things, but these guys are just haters.

Hearn hasn’t done that bad in the US.

He’s put on big shows.

Will be pleasantly shocked if Benn does fight Ramirez. If Benns fights someone who:

Can punch a bit✔️
Isn't past their prime ✔️
Is currently top 30 ✔️

Thats enough for me. Though been thinking about this. One of my favourite fighters, Shane Mosley, fought absolutely no-one of note prior to claiming his first World title against the very decent Phillip Holiday.

Not the best preparation for stepping to title level but I can also see the logic of not risking your fighter getting beat or beaten up until its for a good amount coin.

I just think he would have been better off and learnt more fighting some hungry British guys like Jenkins, Essuman, Crocker, Kongo et all than the way over the hill light punching world title challengers he's been feasting on for the last two years.

Ramirez turned down 1mil dollars. Don’t blame him; surely he’s been getting more in recent fights?

Eddie is struggling to get Benn a fight; does Conor regret signing that new deal? I would when you see the success of Boxxer.

Can’t get a fight at the moment.

They can get Benn a fight but want every single advantage possible for him. That means paying up. They've brought this all on themselves with all the smoke.

Yh.. the more they hype him, the more it’s gonna cost to get him an opponent.

Nope. Hearn is trying to get an opponent for Conor on the cheap it seems; pretty much rules out the top 15.

It’s a predicament for sure. Shelling out 2.5mil for Ramirez is good for genuine boxing fans but it doesn’t add to DAZN’s subs number and he can’t put it on PPV.

Hearn can’t claw money back on sales though as he doesn’t sell much at all.

It’s a mess when he has Conor talking the way he talks and then getting the opponents he gets.

It’s gonna be Sandor Martin next. I can feel it.

Am I being a bit harsh in saying Benn is wearing thin on my patience?
The calibre of opponent
The big talk
The lack of a title fight

I don't even know how good he is, he might be champion material, or he might not. But isn't long overdue that we find out?

It’s his own fault.

He shouldn’t have overpaid boxers in the past. Then these boxers think they’re actually worth more than they actually are.

He got around $4m to appear on DAZN vs. Hooker for the unification.
