dreadful mismatch.....sums up benavidez-lemieux too doesn't it. benavidez was something like a 40-1 fave in that one, vs a guy whose prime was 8 years ago at a lower weight.

you seemed to enjoy that though :maybe:
Lemieux ex world champ and still one of the hardest one shot hitters around, bit more dangerous than the hapless dingbat they lined up here don’t you think?
lem's prime was 8 years ago at middle and he's done nothing at smw, let alone show he's some massive hitter there. he was getting bounced off the canvas by friggin max bursak at smw. benavidez was a massive massive fave because the fight was a huge mismatch, just as the action showed.

both huge mismatches
My original point was Benavidez looks the real deal to me after that very impressive win, regardless of the odds, and I now see Spence and Shak are saying the same thing, why’s that do you think ? They prob know what they’re looking at right ?

he looked good winning a massive mismatch vs a guy he was a 40-1 fave over, just like janibek :TU:

incidentally, benavidez and his corner also celebrated like they were pretty thrilled with everything, as though he'd done something much bigger than win an interim belt vs a faded middleweight whose prime was 8 years ago. i just dont get pooping on one guy's side while puffing up the other. very similar situations - battering a big underdog in a couple rounds for an interim belt. i mean if they are thrilled with that, so be it

Completely one sided.
Dignum got levelled.
Alimkhanuly style resembles Antonio Margarito.
Looks a bit uncoordinated at times.

DrDuke wrote: 22 May 2022, 02:43 The MW division is dreadful. It has a huge potential, but it keeps being irrelevant. There are GGG, Charlo, Mung, Alimkhanuly, Poo Poo Andrade and each of them fights fringes, journeymen and etc.
Assume they are all in that same boat the super-middles were in and awaiting for that Canelo lottery ticket and not wantintg to risk a loss to take them out of the picture? :maybe:

Agree though there's loads of good fights there to be made if they all had a bit of ambition.

This will definitely put Enlightend One in a pickle, if his Charlo boys won't fight him. :OhYes:
