I wish BT would just cut the cord with Queensbury and go with a credible promotion instead.

Was it really extended? Only Frank said it. I saw nothing from BT

BTW, which credible promotion is there?maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 08:12They extended the deal a couple of weeks ago.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 08:11 I wish BT would just cut the cord with Queensbury and go with a credible promotion instead.
Hennessey? not much of a stable. Probellum are a problem and most likely finished.
Matchroom are with DAZN, Wasserman are CH5 and Boxxer are Sky.
The smaller guys like DH and others on FightZone.
Frank still has a very good stable, he just doesn't care does he.
Also, his name value for British boxing.

Yeh, was shocking when he lost Warrington AND Saunders, both whilst still holding world titles.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 09:46I think as long as Frank is in with Fury then BT will stick with him.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 09:40BTW, which credible promotion is there?

This fight is no longer happening. Parker won’t fight early July as Andy Lee’s wife is giving birth so Joyce will fight someone else and the aim to fight Parker at the end of the year.
Crazy really.

Fighters need to get away from Queensbury asap.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:35Who knows. If they’re still looking at early July then it won’t be anyone too dangerous.
Joyce’s career has been handled extremely poorly since beating Dubois.
It’s as if Frank announced this fight on the PPV as a side show and a bit of filling.
Don’t think it was ever close tbh. Parker won’t come cheap and cheap is Frank all over.
Guy needs to fornicate off. He’s boring now.
DO NOT SIGN WITH THAT WHOPPA!

It’s strange in that I think if you’re a young fighter who’s very good but not top level as an amateur then he’d be a decent promoter for you as you’d likely be out fairly often.Dioufy wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:52Fighters need to get away from Queensbury asap.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:35Who knows. I think he’s done a good job with Parker since he joined but it’s rare nowadays where you can say he’s done a good job with someone. Outside of Fury, I genuinely can’t remember the last arena (or bigger) show that sold really well and I’m pretty sure the last boxer who he took from debut to world title was Billy Joe.

Can you name some fighters specifically that need to leave or shouldn’t have signed?
All of his top boys appear to be well paid and happy.
This Joyce thing is bizarre no doubt, but clearly it was S-Jam who were leading the negotiations and Bricktop was very quiet about it until the Fight night.
Fighters like Zack Parker signed with Frank from no mans land and suddenly he’s becoming a name and fighting at World level (Andrade F -ing up is not Warren’s fault)
Bricktop signed an army of prospects/youngsters, many even during Covid and has given them a chance to succeed in the game.
I’m sure the British Super Bantamweights like Cunningham, Leech, Davies and Cain etc are all happy to be with him, who suddenly has created some opportunities from them all to progress/earn some decent money against each other,
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - July 2022
Correct Hitman.
However, given the wealth of British champions he has in his stable now, no reason why he shouldn't be putting on some very solid cards albeit at the Telford arena/York Hall level.

I agree it’s OTT in saying fighters shouldn’t sign with Warren but he’s having more misses than hits at the moment.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑25 May 2022, 03:59I have my own criticisms of BricKTop, but this statement is completely well over the top.Dioufy wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:52Fighters need to get away from Queensbury asap.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:35

Joyce has had one fight in 18 months since Dubois. He’s been injured recently but didn’t have any issues before then and they haven’t built on the momentum from the Dubois win. He semi announces the fight without it actually being signed and it’s not like Andy Lee’s wife wasn’t pregnant when Frank made his announcement.
What’s happening with Callum Johnson. His January title fight was cancelled due to covid but you’d have thought his return would be sorted by now? Anthony Yarde has had one proper fight in 17 months (the Arthur rematch) - are they really going to sit on his ranking whilst Beterbiev and Smith fight and wait for the winner? If it happens then it’d be October at the earliest so Yarde would have been inactive for 10 months whilst being fully fit.
What about Avanesyan? He signed with Warren 8 months ago and we’ve just had the Metz fight and nothing on the radar.
Given the lack of good shows on regular BT I’m surprised they didn’t push for a replacement fight for Parker (who they’ve promoted well since he joined) to keep the show.
What about Cacace who got royally messed around a month ago? Lennox Clarke?
Frank’s fine in getting his prospects fights but the only boxers I’d say he’s promoted well in the last 18 months are Parker and Heaney.

The Joyce thing with Lee is a joke. In general, he has had injuries and they where happy to re-sign last year and S-Jam havent said anything negative about BrickTop (BT) so clearly they’re are on board with what’s going on.
Callum Johnson had a free shot at the WT and managed to catch covid instead of locking down. He also pulled out of 1 or 2 other cards. I’m not sure that we can say BT is at fault with anything - CJ has always been very inactive and he’s now breaking down physically. Somebody mentioned he maybe out soon.
Avanesyan - not sure what the deal is here. I look more to Neil Marsh as to the reason why nothing much appears to be happening.
Yarde I think is out in July. Bizarre that Warren didn’t push for a CJ fight, whilst they wait as he should be easy pickings now, cleverly masked as a big British fight. Think the issue may also be with Tunde agreeing the plan.
BT said 2 shows in July; if Joyce / Yarde / cJ/ Clarke - Heffron etc don’t land on these (without solid reasons) he deserves heavy criticism
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - July 2022
Fair post but he’s definitely not having the best of times at the moment with his shows and he’s getting criticism everytime he puts something on… when he does put something on.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑25 May 2022, 03:59I have my own criticisms of BricKTop, but this statement is completely well over the top.Dioufy wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:52Fighters need to get away from Queensbury asap.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 15:35

He is in the past and will do well for new fighters and domestic level fighters that won’t progress.
He is obviously starting to show disdain for his stable outside of Tyson and without Tyson he’s pretty much Dennis Hobson or Mick Hennesy but with a tv deal.
If I was a fighter starting up. I’d still rather do with the Germans, DAZN and Boxxer well before I’d consider Queensbury.

Re: Joyce, I can’t believe that S-Jam are happy that the supposed Parker fight (that was being planned as PPV) is now off when it wasn’t even really agreed to begin with. They had plenty of time to get it sorted and it makes Frank look disorganised.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑25 May 2022, 06:27Good points.maverick23 wrote: ↑25 May 2022, 04:17I agree it’s OTT in saying fighters shouldn’t sign with Warren but he’s having more misses than hits at the moment.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑25 May 2022, 03:59

Re: CJ, yes he pulled out of his fight almost 5 months ago. He hasn’t pulled out of anything since as he hasn’t had a fight announced since then. I also haven’t heard of any potential injury he’s got at the moment although that’s not to say he hasn’t got one.
Re: Avanesyan, it may be Marsh who’s causing problems. I’d be surprised if that’s the case but ultimately Frank signed him up and the one fight in 8 months he had was awful.
Re: Yarde, you might be right and it could be Tunde causing problems but there’s a common theme with these fighters and it’s not Tunde or Neil Marsh. If he is out in July then it’ll be another poor opponent for him. Frank is the one controlling the purse strings and he needs to be less willing to make these kind of tick over fights.
Frank deserves pretty heavy criticism already for his output on BT Sports this year. He’s got a decent stable but is putting on infrequent shows at a fairly poor level. He’s done one show in May (that was mostly prospect vs journeyman and received minimal promotion) and got just one lined up in June (with 2 decent British title fights) whilst the bulk of his better fighters are on the sidelines.
