in some of his fights prior to that, i thought he didnt look as bad as people make him out to be though, albeit id still think dubois would ko him
He's exactly that bad. So far he has beaten only complete sh!thouses. He has some basics, but nothing more. I'm expecting Dub to destroy him quickly and brutally.
Same. I think it’s quite an easy fight for Dubois. If it goes ahead that is.

At least Dubois is over there at the moment so it’d be a real bullshit move for Don to get the show canned now.

This thread has somehow managed to make me care about this fight, 11 days to go! Can Dubious rescue this worthless title from the never ending Don King/Fres Oquendo/Manuel Charr/litigation merry go round? Will the fight even happen? Will the WBA just immediately order another Charr fight or a Bryan rematch straight away and keep the idiocy going? :bag:

Supposedly Hughie/Hunter winner will be mandatory for the winner. So we might get a legitimate fight for the WBA Regular title for the first time since Browne/Chagaev in 2016? Or Povetkin's reign which ended in 2013?

Dacarree Scott is on the undercard a random 5'10, 270lb, 7-0 guy, and has been placed into the WBA top 15.... Not good signs for DDD vs Bryan happening.

FFS. Just when the WBA was supposedly tidying up their act.

That usually means one way or another come fight night it will be Bryan v Scott for WBA World title! Exactly the same scenario as his last fight with Charr. It's just a case of how they screw Dubois now!

Charr didn’t even make it into the US so Dubois is ahead of him there at least.

Dubois has Warren/BT backing him with serious legal representation at his disposal. This isn’t a Charr type situation. I think the chances of King trying to get out of the fight now with Daniel already in Florida etc is very unlikely.

I don't think king can afford for the fight to happen. It was such an over bid, even if he has Trev on a much smaller pay than his purse split he will struggle to break even.

His main goal will still be to find a fornicate up in DDDs paperwork or split debates in court or to move/delay ect. But if he can't get rid of DDD I expect him to pull out Trev and have DDD fight Scott for interim and 1/10th the money... If DDD refuses he will probably somehow get Scott vs gildry for interim....

I don't know Mabey it all just happens but I just can't see it. King isn't here to lose money, he is here to be a pest.

Well he’s got TV rights in the UK for it.

Probably won’t be breaking BT’s bank balance.. but it’s something.

Dubois got any fans travelling over?

Did BT buy the UK TV rights of Don king? thats cool and all but i wonder what thats worth.. 100,000 bucks? mabey? if lucky? no idea... but Its 4 or 5 am, DDD vs Trev, fornicate not many going to get up for it. I guess you could replay it at night too, but still a struggle.

I doubt any DDD fans are travling. Mabey some close frineds and family. But you would be mental to go on an Away trip, booking flights, hotels ect if Don king is in charge.

I agree with most of what you say except King not being able to afford for the fight to happen. Obviously he won’t want to lose money but I’d imagine he’s got big money tucked away.

Yea, i dont mean it will send him bankrupt. more talking about not wanting to lose money. king isnt looking to lose a bunch of money, and lose the only belt he has in his stable.

Probably today old fart Don just aims to be relevant at least to some extent, so he can afford himself to feed Trevor to Dub.

I’m quite looking forward to it. I think Bryan will make a fight of it. I still have question marks over DDD, especially after the Joyce fight.
Also no way Don King loses money. Very rarely uses his own money anyway. If officially this loses 2 million then there’s some Schmuk who DK has recently befriended losing 3.

I just don't see how King can afford this or why he bid for it. He must be losing a fortune. No TV deal....why he didn't let Warren have it I will never no.

Moment of truth this week.

Let’s see what DK has up his sleeve.

If this happens.

Good thing is Dubois is in Florida. Probably Frank is there too.. he won’t care about Davies-Leach over in the UK.

Yeah, I'm thinking sooner than 4.
Bryant may surprise us, but I doubt it.
His level of competition is so low that he doesn't even feature in HW top 10 discussions despite having some trinket belt.
