The Argie is decent and game, but he's a SFW against a 140 puncher.
The expected fodder for the 10-0 prospect I suppose.

Glad I didn’t get a ticket for this show in the end, card just isn’t strong enough. Basically would have paid 65 quid just for the main event, hard to justify.

Yeah. I am. Watched 17 rounds were the opponent hasn’t landed 1 clean punch.

Boxing eh.

Another mismatch here, do quite like the look of Smith mind, manages range well and pretty accurate.

Dalton dominating a game but outgunned and outsized opponent.

Pointless fight tbh and his next one needs to be meaningful.

British title vacant?

The new Ted Cheeseman?
I’d be surprised if he gets close to Ted’s achievements as he doesn’t appear to have much power in his shots either.

Ted had some good performances on his way up. I thought he looked great against Upton and particularly Byfield for the British title.
Looks that way yeah. I thought he was meant to be a real prospect with a great unbeaten run.

Yeah it is. Smith was ordered to fight Maxwell who was the champ at the time and Maxwell pulled out of purse bids. He was then ordered to fight Ennis-Brown who then withdrew too.

Don’t wanna ever see Ennis Brown again tbh.
Horrible style.

Fight over here. Corner pulled him. Was losing everything.

there was a thread going "whats wrong with boxing" somewher. The answer is "this card"....

missmatch, missmatch, missmatch, probable missmatch, main event.

Would never see that in the UFC.

Hearn is turning this sport into a one fight card with some sparring thrown in. Even sky weren't this bad.

Yep - these are some of the worst kind of fights for me. Little point against an outgunned and naturally smaller opponent.

Matchroom’s undercards have, on the whole, been fine this year but this one’s been trash so far.

Sky have had plenty of shows like this. Both with Hearn and now with Boxxer.

I remember a time when hot prospects were thrown into British title fights against seasoned fighters and it was either sink or swim. Now they’re getting slowly built up to them as if they’re preparing for a multi-world title championship fight. And a lot of times missing British level altogether.

I look at the top 10 light welters and apart from Cat and Taylor in Britain and he should be looking to fight the highest ranked.

This is a genuinely dreadful card. It’s also the only UK card of June. Game changed baby.
