:salut:

You don't often see a one-shot explosive early KO ! And not against a granite-chinned Japanese Champ !

Nobody was predicting that.
Well done Joe :D

Im all for giving fighters a count But that did not needed it. Head bounced off the canvas and was out cold for a couple of seconds, brutal KO.

So now what..

A few easy defences?

I noticed that Hearn don’t do that anymore.

He’ll want him straight into a unification.

Bravo, Cordina! Excellent timing, feared Ogawa's aggression could do some damage.

Fcking stunning KO from Cordina, out of this world, what a way to become World champion, thought Ogawa was quicker out of the blocks, landed some solid right hands but what a KO, little feint then bang with a right hand, no way was that cheating bastard Ogawa getting up, not in a million years, you love to see it

They’d be better off doing it in Cardiff. Barrett isn’t a big seller in Manchester.

Did anyone else notice the commentary immediately before the knockout.

‘So Josh how do you go about winning a pressure fighters respect? How do you stop him in his tracks?’

‘Well…..’

Finally Cordina lives up to his Olympian hype.....that was a peach of a shot!
Cordina vs Barrett is good....
but there's some other "world" level guys for both.

Yeah.
Joe needs another fight or two to be ready for the likes of Shak and Oscar.

Cordina vs Barret with Kid Galahad on the undercard could do that soon. then winner vs kid Galahad.

Or shakur... but you would wanna get paid well for that because he would be a big underdog.

Umm, maybe not Shakur.
But Barret is an easy make. And should make for a good watch.

What did he say ?
I had the legendary Skeletor on R5.

I can't quite believe that.
We all thought Joe could get one punch KOs at domestic level with the speed and skillz, but it's just so rare to spark out a champ at world level with one clean shot ! He didn't catch him cold, he wasn't tired, he just took him straight out with one shot.
Really, really REALLY good performance, BUT..

There are still a lot of questions about Cordina. He wouldn't be that big a favourite against Zelfa.

I doubt he could spark Barrett out with one shot, but who expected him to do that to Ogawa.

I’d make him a big favourite over Zelfa tbh, unimpressed by Zelfa generally.
