Fight Approval

Post by CoachFim »

Can a fight be approved if the fighters have not been given a physical and pregnancy test? Not to mention be 15lbs over in a Super Flyweight bout? This actually happened May 28th, 2022 and I was wondering if this was legit?

The official report said the fight was for the vacant IBC female super featherweight title. Both fighters made the weight. :maybe:

Yes, this fight. The reason I asked is because there was a bout that transpired on May 28th in Irapuato, MX between Czarina McCoy and Eloisa Martinez whereas this was the case. One fighter was 130lb and the other was 115lbs. There were no physicals or pregnancy tests given nor was there an official registration done to fight in that city. Everything was rushed and the fighters were told that it would be done in the morning and when the morning came... nothing. The fight happened, the scores were ridiculously looped sided for Eloisa who was also rewarded a belt (IBC) that's not even recognized as real title. To top it off, they tried to rush the info onto Boxrec before Czarina could get a chance to contest it and lied about the weight by saying it was a Bantamweight bout. Latin Boy Promotions and War Boxing International was called out on it and quickly had it changed to Featherweight. They also tried to put it in for May 13th instead of May 30th which was quickly changed as well after being called out on it. Simply put, I smell something fishy going on with this Commission and Promoters. Between the scoring, all the changes and the blatant disregard of policy and procedure (not to mention Safety) I personally feel that this fight should be removed and reviewed pending investigation. Thanks for your consideration in advance.

Note: Photos of the original bout sheet on the night of the fight available upon request as well as the screen shots of the Boxrec results under Bantamweight and Featherweight... and at one time under both at the same time. The bout sheet on May 28th clearly states 115lbs and I also have text messages directly to the Promoter to support it. Again, thank you for your consideration in advance.
