I don't know how you can say it was wide for Haney. Running and pity patting is for the amateurs. Didn't matter who won. The fans lost. Kambosos got Lopez on an off night and they're both lucky Lomachenko was in the Ukraine. What a terrible undisputed fight and champion we ended up with, no matter who won.

Kambosos flirted with the idea of full on closer aggression somewhere around the 6th but abandoned the idea because it looked like he couldn't slip the constant jab.
Haney never looked in any kind of serious trouble, Kambosos never mounted a sustained attack over a short or longer period.
Haney plugged away with the jab throughout the fight and it paid dividends.

Don't sell him short Evander :shame:
He put in some lovely counters, some good accurate 1-2's, tricky footwork turning Kambosos, and his punch selection was right up there. Kambosos had reddining all over his head and body and arms by the 3rd round because Haney was just hitting him everywhere.
He did all the things you said.
Yeah I saw Kambosos face, I'm surprised he didn't get cut up a lot more.
I'm not selling Haney short I had him a 9-3 winner what does that tell you.

Well said. Nobody won tonight. The fact that we now have a 23 year old undisputed feather fisted champion that we have to watch and worse, listen to, is depressing. It’s like Floyd is never going away. At least Floyd threw the right hand. I’ve never seen a lightweight fighter win a fight like that without landing a significant right hand.

How about tonight ha? Haney and Fulton. That should be the name of a new sleep aid.

Good win for Haney. Don’t think he could handle Loma with his style. Kambosos got beat by jab. Period. Not much happened in fight. Ryan Garcia has to believe he will beat either of these guys based on this fight. Good on Haney for getting it done.

I gave Kambosos the second and probably the tenth if pressed.
It was boring. And Kambosos got lucky with an off night Teo, it seems.

Rematch wont be an easy sell, not even sure theres enough highlights for an instagram legnth clip.... Probably say kambo was injured or somthing. Then they will show the after fight tention and call it "bad blood". If no gov bodies strip and its for undisputed that obviosly helps.

Still think they could do a stadium in sydney for undisputed with a decent undercard and smart promotion. jason Molony vs buttler, Efe vs lucus brown, andrew molony vs a pulse. jared anderson vs Hemi

I wouldn't say that.
I thought the fight was good, a bit predictable late on but it was ok.
Kambosos needs to up his corner.
He doesn't lack courage or the will to win, he lacks ideas to get beyond a basic steady jab among other things.
Haney showed signals that he could be gotten at, Kambosos corner either didn't see them or couldn't rally their man to take advantage of them.
There were arm weary moments from Haney.

I don't know if I've ever seen the word "undisputed" in a division as unsettled as that one is right now.

Haney proved himself he's the real deal. Very sharp ring iq speed and reflexes. Devin is like a version of FMJ.

Tank Davis is unbeaten and very good, Ryan Garcia is unbeaten and very good, Lomachenko is better than his loss to Lopez, Lopez is better than his loss to Kambosos, Kambosos *might* be better than his loss to Haney -- there's a lot left to dispute.

Well we’re getting the fights in the division gradually.

Question: For those who had Kambosos in their top 10 P4p after winning one big fight (Lopez) viewtopic.php?f=22&t=253793, do you now have Haney in your top 10? I am not a Haney fan but he beat Kambosos pretty easily and has beaten a better class of opposition in general. He seems way more talented, although I would probably go with Loma vs him if Loma gets a fight or two warm up

Haney beat the MAN in Kambo, who beat the man in Lopez-who beat the man in Loma. :TU:

Boxing clinic by Haney. I get people don't like his style, but he is quite skilled and executes it well. Sweet science vs trading shots to the head. Floyd was "boring" too. Please no rematch.

Haney would be a good sized 140lber. He must cut a lot.

Yeh. You beat someone comprehensively, then no need for a rematch.

I wonder if espn will want the rematch after that clinic.
I'm sure it will sell fine in Australia but may not have a tv home in America.
