benavidez

crawford/spence

your pick for any of them. the recent (prior to bivol fight) picks of canelo beating or giving usyk a fight made me wonder about this question

curious about any other fighters light heavy or below you think could do well at hw

Beterbiev and Canelo could possibly beat a lower Top 20 guy. Canelo could actually quite possibly beat some Top 10 guys. In the case of Bivol beating him, it's not the size that beat him it's the style and skill of Bivol. There are some big guys who aren't nearly as good as Canelo that I think he'd at the very least hold his own against.

The other guys are obviously too small.

which top 10 guys would you give canelo a good chance over?

its a sliding scale really, i think even going down the weights there are heavies all these could beat, but the quality of those heavyweights would get lower

remember that some of the atg highest rated heavies were comparable in size to modern light heavies or below..........dempsey, marciano, johnson, langford (weighed in the 150s when he fought johnson), etc

Not a good chance, but he maybe can at least not be completely obliterated by some of the lower tier guys.

I think it'd have to be a Top 30-ish Heavyweight before he can actually win.

And I mean, yeah there's probably some schmuck who is technically a Heavyweight Boxer out there somewhere who couldn't whip cream that the smaller guys could beat up

Beterbiev might be a bit too chinny, but I could see Canelo getting a UD over Andy Ruiz. Apart from the 1st round, John Ruiz never really got a look in against Roy Jones. Heavyweight talent is thin and skills levels are below pretty much all other divisions, so that’s something to work with.
