Argument can be made that since he went pro, Inoue has always been the top dog in whatever weight class he's fought in. It is hard not to wish that he'd gotten to test himself against some of the deep talent pool at super flyweight before moving up out of it -- but another way to look at it is, having started at light flyweight, he's carried his power up to his fourth weight class now well enough to be beating the daylights out of a guy like Donaire. And that is not nothin'.

What a performance! No interest in seeing him dismantle Butler in the same way. Some great fights at 115 if he is willing to go back down. Chocolatito, Estrada, Ioka or Bam Rodriguez would be amazing. Stepping up probably have to get him in with Fulton or MJ. Either way Inoue is bonafide p4p top 3 for me. What a talent

A few yrs back when Chocolatito to was still undefeated they talked about him fighting Inuoue. Chocolatito was still lb for lb number 2 or 3 and Monster wasn't as well known. I had planned to bet my house on Inoue winning by KO. But alas the fight never happened. Chocolatito got upset by Wisaksil and Monster jumped up to 118lbs.

Inoue is a beast but I would have picked Chocolatito at near prime flyweight and jr. fly over him. Nobody is touching Inoue right now at bantamweight and no use him continuing to smack around 118ers. Inoue v Fulton would be a great style match and I love punchers so would like to see Inoue take the fight

It would have been at 115 which just outside of Chocs best weight class. And Monster would have destroyed him.

His composure and the precision of his punching at the end there was beautiful to watch. That's how you finish a wounded opponent.

I wonder if he can bulk up to 126 there isn't anyone at 118 or 122 that can touch him.

Good right hand that decked Doniare in the first and some of those left hooks in the second were beautiful shots, Inoue is a tidy boxer, nice performance.

Definitely. It’s a rare thing to blast away world champions, period (other than in the heavyweight division). Very impressive. The power and precision is real.

if Tank (tank fanboy here )had fought anyone decent (and hammered them like Naoya does) he'd be the one I'd think of.

however he hasn't, so I don't.

I don't think anyone else is even all that close tbh, I've said before, McDonnell had had about 5/6 world title fights, never looked remotely like being stopped, and Inoue made him look like a child.

I think Teo Lopez does have that kind of very-fast-but-also-very-heavy-hands sort of power, but I don't think he is the technician that Naoya is. well, he just isn't, there's no think about it.
