Why would Jake Paul give him the time of day?

Tommy quacked and ducked him. I'd say "goodbye paycheck me old mucker" because let's face it, with Jake Paul's bizarre popularity with 10 year olds, he could fight a hobo off the street and the fight would still make the same. Tommy "The Ducker" Fury brings nothing to the table.

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury "is happening on August 13" according to Eddie Hearn

Rival promoter Eddie Hearn may have just leaked that Jake Paul and Tommy Fury's long awaited fight is back on.

Paul promotes his own bouts through his Most Valuable Promotions banner, while Fury is signed with allegedly's Queensberry Promotions. But Hearn recently worked with Paul to put together Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano's undisputed lightweight title fight, and has remained in talks with their team over a second bout.

And he has now claimed that he he's been told Paul will face Fury in a rescheduling of their originally planned December date. The YouTube star was supposed to meet his British rival in Florida towards the end of last year, but the Love Island star pulled out with a broken rib.

“I don’t represent them, but I hear that fight [Paul vs Fury] is happening August 13, so you might see it,” Hearn told talkSPORT, admitting that he wants to see the American stopped for the first time in his career. “Both are very limited, but as long as it’s a competitive fight, it doesn’t really matter.

“ Jake Paul is a strange one, but I like what he’s doing for boxing. I did Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor with him and it was great fun, it was a big success, he’s putting the work in and he’s not terrible. But it will be a pleasant day when someone chins him.”

Fury's promoter allegedly has a notoriously bad relationship with Hearn and Matchroom, and likely won't be pleased that he has leaked the fight news. And after a seemingly rosey promotional run for Taylor vs Serrano, things appear to have soured between Hearn and Paul's side as well.

The Irishwoman is expected to have a homecoming fight at Croke Park in Dublin this September. But despite being a monster hit at the box office in New York, it appears that a rematch with Serrano, who Paul manages alongside ex-UFC CFO Nakisa Bidarian, won't be happening.

I wonder if Jake offered it to him at half the money like he said he was going to... its a good fight to be fair, if there both on PPV percentage, could be a fun build up, cant wait to see john fury in full flight again.

Possibly but Jake Paul really isn't that good. His footwork is poor and Fury's is better.

If this happens, Fury really should look comfortable in there. He wont get a decision if it's close, obviously, but to non fanboys of Paul we'll know the truth.

I am surprised how many have backed Fury on the poll.

The more I think about this the more I think Fury gets sparked

Paul shouldn't have given Tommy the time of day after he chickened out last time. I'd let him lose a payday. Let's be honest, Paul could fight a mop with a face drawn on it and make millsions.

Tommy the Ducker brings nothing to the table.

Oh well, at least we can hopefully see Tommy knocked cold.

John Fury’s done a video today asking Jake to move the fight outside of the US as all of Tommy’s team are banned from the States.

He generously said that Tommy would accept a lower purse.

He also asked if the date of the show could be put back a month as well as Brits like to have a holiday in July/August.

Problem is moving the fight out of the states probably takes multiple millions of revenue away, and all of tommy furys purse wouldent cover it. just get a corner team thats not banned to work with you....

Yeah - there’s no way Paul’s fighting anywhere other than the US for his next fight.
