Joshua to sign with the DAZN
Joshua to sign with the DAZN
According to the papers Anthony Joshua is signing to DAZN going forward starting with the Usyk rematch which if true would mean he would no doubt be on DAZN PPV in the UK.
Not sure if this is a game changer anymore, Joshua isn't what he was and his casual fanbase has seemingly migrated over to Tyson Fury.

Also, if he loses and he continues on DAZN, will he continue to be PPV?tony1234 wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022, 06:10 According to the papers Anthony Joshua is signing to DAZN going forward starting with the Usyk rematch which if true would mean he would no doubt be on DAZN PPV in the UK.

DAZN are probably paying way over the odds and offered him a high guarantee per fight.

Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN
It’s the sun reporting this, really hopes it’s legit - massive for DAZN if it is, and a huge blow for Sky….if he loses, and there’s a good chance he will, he will still be PPV - imagine Fury next, or wilder, or DD etc etc
Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN
Have been calling this a long time on here.
Nowhere near as significant as it would have been - but this is a way of DAZN making some money and Sky losing out on some money.
I wonder how much detail will be published on the deal i.e. length.

Good signing for DAZN… but is fair on subscribers that he goes on as PPV

Joshua will lose to Usyk
Then he will be used as canon fodder for upcoming heavyweights

Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN
I’d imagine you’d have to subscribe and the PPV would be the price it’ll be minus the subs?
If so… then you’re going to get a lot of people signing up and just keeping the subscription going as they can’t be arsed cancelling/forget about it.
Or maybe you’ll just pay your 25 quid as a one-off with no sign up.
Either way… it’s a good thing for DAZN to acquire and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a channel in the 400s on Sky soon. If Dicknation can have one then why not?

Does this mean the upcoming Usyk Joshua fight could be on DAZN not Sky?

Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN
They will have to do the fight on a DAZN backed tv platform.
If they keep it on the net it will bomb absolutely certain of that.

Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN

Well I wasn’t sure whether the deal had already been struck. The new contract could’ve been enacted AFTER the fight.jameswilson wrote: ↑12 Jun 2022, 11:27F uck me. Well done Sherlock.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 07:38 Does this mean the upcoming Usyk Joshua fight could be on DAZN not Sky?
Re: Joshua to sign with the DAZN
Isn't this deal a bit late ? Joshua coming off a comprehensive loss after the battering by Ruiz is no longer the big deal in the heavyweight division.
Will DAZN get it on a TV channel or stick to the app as I can't see many doing the PPV by app with all the hassle that involves.
DAZN's business decisions are baffling at times
