Julius is a 57-year-old. A young, aggressive man was stalking him down and raised his hands. Julius defended himself and those around him. Absolutely nothing wrong with that,.

Hopefully it has knocked some sense into the prick.

Somehow I think Jules could be in trouble on this one.

I hope not because I think the bloke deserved it …. Alas the law doesn’t work like that

When I saw this I thought this may not end well for Julius.

People have been known to die from a punch like this then fall on concrete, thankfully he hasn't died.

Just hope the guy is man enough to not press charges....if he does he really is a C@nt. Needs to take his beating and walk away humbled.

Secondly, this is why i never get into fights, I'm not trying to blow smoke up my own arse but I worry if I hit someone I could do serous damage and then my life is ruined.....a different day Julius could be done for manslaughter.

Terminator666 wrote: 14 Jun 2022, 02:59 Will Julius Francis be I trouble for this? Would it be considered excessive force? I didn’t think security were allowed to do that kind of thing these days
Will depend on whether Francis genuinely believed that a crime was about to be committed (i.e. a battery against him) and used a reasonable amount of force in the circumstances to prevent that crime. (Criminal Law Act 1967 s.3 / CJIA Act 2008 s.76).

Here it seems to me Francis threw a single reflex right hand immediately after the guy stepped towards him with his right hand up, and after giving a lot of grief to the whole security crew for a sustained period of time. So I think reasonable and genuine apprehension of danger, and reasonable force in the circumstances. He didn't load up on his shot or follow up, he just happens to be a long retired ex-boxer, and it's not realistic to expect him to "dial down" the power when acting on reflex.

Plenty people have died falling out cold like that on the street from one punch. Julius could easily have killed the guy and he's going to be nicked for it obviously. There's too many coked up idiots about nowadays, and depending on what was said, he might well have deserved it.

If the guy doesn’t go to the police and make a complaint, would the police still pursue Julius? Surely they need a complaint from him?

I doubt they would but someone else could file a report for a lesser public order offence.

Julius Francis allowed me to be part of his team for the Mike Tyson fight.

He is a well chilled out bloke and wouldn’t have smacked the bloke without reason.

Julius has absolutely nothing to worry about here. Who is every going to find him guilty of a crime in this case? Certainly not a jury of his peers. That is self defence all day long and twice on Sunday.

the guy was a total prick but frankly the blame rests with the crap security guys who let him behave like that from the off - should have grabbed him and frogmarched him out and handed him over to the cops .
There was no need for that KO really - In all likelihood Francis will probably get fired now anyway .

Doesn't matter if the guy presses charges or not, with evidence like that the old bill could do it themselves.

Jules is seen walking backwards with his assailant walking forwards in an aggressive manner surely that counts for something?

Being an ex boxer and now a security guard, his self control will be brought into question.

With social media today, probably more people watched this compared to his fight with Tyson. Bet he's getting mad media requests.
