Tommy Morrison vs. Jorge Luis Gonzalez
Tommy Morrison vs. Jorge Luis Gonzalez
12 rounds, who wins?
Re: Tommy Morrison vs. Jorge Luis Gonzalez
Morrison would destroy Gonzalez in a few rounds.
Re: Tommy Morrison vs. Jorge Luis Gonzalez
The Duke would destroy Gonzalez at his best, but if Gonzalez pull a Michael Bentt that he jump on Morrison in the early rounds, he would have a chance to stop him. Anyways, I bet on the Duke to knock Gonzalez maybe in the late rounds.

Re: Tommy Morrison vs. Jorge Luis Gonzalez
"Jorge Luis Gonzalez" had the Most Profound and The Most Rapid deterioration that I ever saw, at least in the discussion about heavyweights. "Wilfred Benitez",and "Pipino Cuevas" would be obvious runner-ups, but obviously, they were both more than several divisions under HW.
With Gonzalez, it was Obviously The devastating loss to Riddick Bowe that started his Very Rapid decline into Obscurity.
I would say that, had Gonzalez fought Tommy Morrison on that particular day, instead of Riddick Bowe, then probably, it would've been overall a Good Solid bout, for both Boxers actually. It likely would've went the distance. I'm inclined to think that it would've likely been a SD win for one or the other, or maybe a Draw.
Morrison was given a gift draw versus Ross The Boss Purrity, in 1994, even though he went to the canvas twice in that bout and clearly should've gotten the L.
Ross Purrity was overall better than even the prime version of Gonzalez though. More Durable for certain !
I don't think that Morrison would've Ko'd the pre-Bowe bout version of Gonzalez though, and Jorge didn't have the type of specific style and dynamic fast twitch counter punching abilities that Michael Bent possessed, so therefore, I don't see Tommy getting Ko'd or Tko'd either. Also, Gonzalez didn't have the workrate of even that of the tough journeyman spoiler boxer specialist Ross Purrity. Jorge basically would've effectively utilized his size advantage to hang in there with Morrison, even if Tommy clipped him here and there. Jorge would've clinched and leaned on the much smaller Morrison and survived each round, even if Tommy was catching him here and there throughout the bout.

That's a very good analysis.
