I am worried about Probellum and its fighters.

Are there any shows arranged?

Is there a tv deal in place?

Am I right to be concerned?

OD and Sharp didn’t even have opponents for this a couple of days ago.

No TV confirmed and nothing likely outside of YouTube.

They’re not really doing any shows. They’ve been co-promoter on a few and they’ve got their boxers on some MTK style shows (like OD and Archie Sharp) but few people will watch them.

It’ll be interesting to see what McGrail, the McCormacks do. I’d imagine they’re on big guarantees financially and it’s going to get to a point where the money drys up so they may want to start pushing to get out already as otherwise they could be having a year in the wilderness. I’m sure Sky/Eddie would be keen to get them all.

I keep getting told The McCormack brothers are going to be very special with Pat being a promoters dream.

I hope they keep focussed, their success is going to play a big part in the energence of boxing in the North East which has been p*ss poor in comparison to other areas of the country.

Bad call Jack Catterall singing with Probelllum, probably no chance of the Taylor fight happening. I would be surprised if Probellum were still on planning to do shows by this time next year.

Maybe those dickheads Peet and Catterall can come on explain. Mind you, they forgot to mention it at the time on their podcast.

It’s very unlikely a main tv station will deal with Probellum. Eurosport dropped out extremely quickly. They could maybe get a deal with Freesports or allegedly but they’ll struggle to get airtime with someone one worthwhile who’ll promote the fights.

Jack Bateson has just signed for Probellum, days ahead of headlining his dads show featuring Archie Sharp and O Hara Davies.
So basically, they're not going anywhere. This would have been a co MTK show before they disbanded.

I have missed something … normally I pick up on things…

It was my understanding that Probellum was owned & run by Richard Schaefer.

Why are tv companies turning them away?

Whats the controversy ?

They’re heavily linked to Kinahan. I think one of his previous companies was called Probellum, they are based in Dubai, they signed mostly MTK fighters who obviously have links to Kinahan and when Kinahan met the Pakistan Sports Minister, the minister left the meeting thinking he was the head of Probellum and posted such on Twitter.

At the moment none of the main TV companies will touch a promoter with such close ties to DK.
