It’s only gonna get harder for him from here on. If he gets “frustrated” every time an opponent fails to crumple early doors the NYSAC will be in for a revenue boost

Edgar Berlanga is being suspended by the New York State Athletic Commission for attempting to bite Alexis Angulo on Saturday, sources tell ESPN.
The length of the suspension has yet to be finalized, sources said. Berlanga is also facing a fine for his actions.
The 25-year-old won a 10-round unanimous decision against his stiffest opposition yet, but in Round 7 of the Top Rank Boxing on ESPN main event, he attempted to bite the left side of Angulo's neck/shoulder.
Berlanga wasn't penalized by the referee for the foul, which the boxer said was retaliation for repeated elbows from Angulo.
A member of the state athletic commission, who requested anonymity to speak on the matter because there isn't yet an official decision, confirmed to ESPN that the incident is being reviewed. An official decision on the particulars of the discipline is expected by Friday.
"I want to apologize for my actions and what I said yesterday about the Mike Tyson bite," Berlanga tweeted Sunday, referencing the joke he made earlier about Tyson's infamous bite of Evander Holyfield's ear.
"I was in the moment and got a little ahead of myself. It doesn't take away from the embarrassment that I have caused upon myself, my team, [Top Rank] and many others. I reacted poorly and take full responsibility. Moving forward, I am going to be more mindful and encouraging in my behavior."
"Top Rank will abide by the New York State Athletic Commission's ruling," Top Rank spokesperson Evan Korn told ESPN.
Berlanga (20-0, 16 KOs) began his career with 16 first-round KOs in 16 fights. The competition was raised in his past four fights, all of which he won via unanimous decision.
The fight Saturday was Berlanga's second consecutive headline appearance on ESPN at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The fighter, who is from Brooklyn and of Puerto Rican descent, has proved to be a reliable ticket-seller in New York, where there's a large Puerto Rican population.
Angulo (27-3, 23 KOs), who fights out of Colombia, suffered his other two losses in title bouts vs. David Benavidez and Gilberto Ramirez.

Late to the party here… but Ed did not look good. I had it 5-5. Wide decision v predictable.
If I’m Lerrone Richards or Zach Parker I’m begging for this fight. 20 wins, 16 straight 1kos followed by 4 uds makes me question his power; did not put a bent in Angulo. Just a terrible performance, terrible work rate.. not doubling up his jab… nothing at all. Good job AA is 70 years old and as limited at they come. Got his success from basic come forward flurries. Bad performance and the ill discipline he showed twice pretty much summed up what was a bad fight.
He’s v dislikeable and follows the trend that his father is the same.
Saying that I enjoyed the Top rank production and good to see Miguel cotto looking well and collecting his award. Some warrior and someone I enjoy listening to.
That ref in the Vargas/linger fight
. Not seen anything like that for awhile. 3 doctors jumping in to stop the fight when they ref was having a silent epileptic fit. Vargas is lucky to get out of that with his life. Dakota Linger; what a name. 
Carrabello/Victor santillan was a good fight; I had it a draw but no issues with vic getting it as he buzzed up carrabello hard twice in the fight. He’s gonna be a tough one to beat and I’ll follow him from now on. PR southpaw gonna be a hard nights work for anyone.
Henry Lubron looked a talent; luis caught up with his a little towards the end but it was it was a dominant performance. Another southpaw that will be a nightmarish night for anyone outside the top 10 at 130lbs. Nice compact style and has good footwork and uses his punches effectively. Got cut in his mouth late on might have contributed to slowish finish but I thought he was v good.
