Even boxing insiders reckon it’s Beterbiev KO.

I understand the factor there could be an upset.

Yes.

But it’s the case of, what are the chances it happens.

Beterbiev is a beast in the same mould as the Krusher.

Unlike Kovalev he's not likely to 'turn old overnight' just yet.

He's not playing at the sport.

Im really hoping beterbiev is a bit overated and a bit aged. because iv bet big on smith (big for me). I cant say iv seen much of beterbiev, always seem to miss his fights.

by far his best win was Gvozdyk, and that is an absolutly world class win, he was the top guy at the time. But someone else floated the theroy tht mabey Gvozdyk already was on the way out a bit, having put Stevens in a coma that has to mess with your mentality and kill your love of the sport a bit. Pure speculation, but mabey...

Anyway, i love this fight, and while i still would have beterb favortie, id have it more 60-40... bookies have it as a near missmatch.

I've bet a little on Joe, partly because I've been a fan for years, partly because he could cause an upset, and partly because the odds were great.
He is a tough bugger, fought over half a fight with a broken jaw, and he can definitely bang. So yes, there is a chance of an upset.

Gvoz wasn’t doing badly in the fight.

It was a slow beat down by Bert. Each round he took something from Gvoz.

The promoters will be tearing their hair out at the prospect of how low-key the press conference is going to be between these two

17 wins, 17 KOs.

It's very hard to argue with stats like that.

In recent years British fighters have increasingly been used as fodder to feed various champions.

I suspect Smith will follow suit.

They seem to be similar fighters but Beterbiev the beast is clearly better.

This is a huge fight and it deserves all of the publicity it can muster. It would be a pity to see this one slip under the radar.

2022 is shaping up great boxing wise, and it's nice to see Madison Square Gardens becoming a feature once more.

Hyped for co main event too. Ramirez is betting underdog, but this Abraham Nova seems to be a realy bad man. Plus his bigger and far more muscular. Too bad its only 10 rounder

I think the smart money here is on Smith Jr, if he's being offered at any odds above say +350. I personally see this as close to a 50-50 Matchup, maybe 60-40 in favour of Beterbiev.

Beterbiev is 37 or 38 years old. That's starting to get up there. He is the better technical fighter and if he was younger Id have no doubt he would beat Smith. Smith is a rough guy himself and may be able to withstand Beterbiev's best, then deliver his own. Smith's age may win him this fight.

It seems one sided cus everyone is picking Bert.

But you have to pick one or the other.

Joe has a chance to win, probably comes down to who is most likely or has the better chance to win.

Maybe..

Both are great value. If you fancy going all out, try betting the rounds Smith wins in (1-2, 3-4, 4-5 etc). Crazy odds.

I got Beterbiev by T/KO but I think Smith Jr is the type of fighter that performs better if he has a better opponent in front of him.

No doubt this is going to be a good watch :box:
I've had a little flutter on Joe by KO, the odds were too tasty to turn down and IMO he definitely has a punchers chance.
One day Beterbiev is going to 'get old' but I doubt it will be tomorrow

watching callum johnson fight he got a nasty ko in first to beterb as he was facing the ropes granted always protect yourself but got back up and then put artur down with short left hook, he isnt unbeatable by any stretch smith is his best oppo beter faced bar Gvozdyk, its the last big fight of the summer

Yes Art should win this as he’s not looking old just yet, far from it.
but Joe worth a bet at those odds, I went smith for the KO at 9/1. Also because that bad cut Art had could become a factor as the rounds go by.
