Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - September 2022
Ben Shalom’s saying they’ve offered FWarren £1.2m for Joyce to fight Parker on Sky Sports Box Office.
Considering Frank was so disappointed the fight didn’t get signed even after announcing it, surely he’ll consider it as it’d be great exposure for Joyce and I’d imagine a career high payday.

if that offer is real and there are no weird conditions, it would be mental to turn it out. JJ needs a meaningful fight fast

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - September 2022
i'd love to see a knockout competition where every week one of the top ten heavyweights gets to fight Joe, starting from the no.10.
every time Joe wins he gets to fight the next highest, all the way to the top.
is that too much to ask?

Whilst Ben was blagging I think on the attendance of the show in Coventry (he was saying it’ll sell out), he seemed legit on this. When asked what the response was he was a bit coy.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 13:12 if that offer is real and there are no weird conditions, it would be mental to turn it out. Frank's surprised by the idea that boxers can fight opponents on other broadcasters. He's just insecure.

In the grand scheme of things, Its an absolute disaster for boxing with all these promoters on different broadcasters. I wish they'd stop saying otherwise.
Good for the fighters though, getting some good pay days by just signing on. The long term affect is a different story.

Yeh. Says a lot about Frank.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 13:46‘A fight you know now can’t happen’.
It only can’t happen if Frank doesn’t want it to happen.
Maybe he should have tried to sign Joe.
Would Frank get a bit of that £1.2m I take it?
It’s good money and you don’t have to worry about promoting it as it’s not BT.

Yep - I’d imagine Frank would get a cut of that purse but he’ll be wanting more to come his way from a PPV on BT.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 13:47Yeh. Says a lot about Frank.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 13:46‘A fight you know now can’t happen’.

It's not PPV worthy but seems anything is these days till they get caught out as punters can't afford to buy them anymore

Frank will soon be doing the double shoulder roll.
One shoulder for Hearn the other for Ben Schlong.

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - September 2022
Team Joyce can’t be happy with this. There was plenty of time between the fight announcement at Fury/Whyte and Parker signing with Boxxer to get the fight signed and sealed. When Joyce hopefully fights for the second time this year it’ll be 2 years since the terrific win over Dubois.jameswilson wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 15:03 Frank will soon be doing the double shoulder roll.

How much did Joyce get for DDD and how much for Hammer?
Anyone know?

Yeah me too. If Warren holds him back and can only give him cabbages or a Dub rematch for small money then the Jugger not gonna be happy.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 17:08Nope. Don’t think it was released at all. I’d be surprised if he got £1.2m for Dubois or anything close to that for the Hammer fight.
Man is old; could do with a decent meaningful fight plus a payday.
Mismanaged at moment.

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - September 2022
It’s tricky from a management point of view. If they’ve been told for 4-5 months that the Parker fight will be happening then it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth.Dioufy wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 17:10Yeah me too. Joyce is nowhere near big enough to headline a PPV without a good dance partner. They may go down the Dubois route again as Frank loves to keep things in house.

Yeh. They both took a pay cut that fight.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 17:08Nope. Don’t think it was released at all. I’d be surprised if he got £1.2m for Dubois or anything close to that for the Hammer fight.
Was originally supposed to be PPV.
But then pandemic etc.
Ended up being on regular BT didn’t it.

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - September 2022
It would have probably been their highest purses so it’s not really a pay cut. They just would have taken less compared to when they would have have had it with fans.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 17:26Yeh. If Joyce is content taking poor fights to wait for his mandatory to be called then fair enough but he’s wasting the prime of his career at the moment.

Yeh that’s what I mean. Earned less compared to what they could have or what may have been agreed when it was scheduled for PPV.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 17:41It would have probably been their highest purses so it’s not really a pay cut. Probs break his wrist on Hammer’s bowling head knowing his luck.
