i think the thing that turns AJ off with a lot of people- and it's the exact reverse with Usyk- is that AJ clearly takes himself very seriously. absolutely no ability to be self-effacing (and not much self-awareness either seemingly)
Who would you prefer to win: Usyk or Joshua?

I have gone with Usyk .
He has a better resume in the pro + ams has been superb at CW and transitioned to HW well .
Really enjoy his skill set and sheer ability - pleasure to watch .
But Aj could catch him clean and its lights out ...

Emphatically Usyk. He's the better fighter and far more agreeable personality. Though I'd have liked it if his team had been a tad more neutral in the presser about Saudi. The fact that they are buying up main events in the guise of 'improving grass roots boxing in Saudi' sickens me.

I thought everyone knew John Farnham was English... Hardly a hidden secret. A good proportion of the most famous "Australian" celebs over 30 were born overseas. Nicole Kidman, the Bee Gees, Naomi Watts, Mel Gibson, ACDC etc.coneye wrote: ↑25 Jun 2022, 04:14Singer Johnny Farnham ,, quite a good singer actually
I want Usyk to knock AJ spark out, then outbox and end the Gypsy King. Gotta love Usyk, he's just so bloody likeable.

There is no consistency when people deal with the saudi’s and boxing must think football is cashing in (newcastle) plus loads of money is getting thrown at golf & F1 … so eddie must think f*ck it boxing can get a slice of the cake.
Re: Who would you prefer to win: Usyk or Joshua?
Absolutely. I just hold Usyk and his team in a higher regard than Eddie 'did I mention the kingdom enough?' Hearn.
Re: Who would you prefer to win: Usyk or Joshua?
Joshua. He's homegrown and also it's a more likely route to a unification!
Share the same frustrations as everyone else with AJ but somewhere in there is the guy that found those punches Vs Klitschko. Is he likely to win? No. Do I want him to win? Absolutely.

Usyk
Joshua comes across as an utter tool and a racist. Makes a lot of excuses too. Hope he gets sparked out by Usyk.

If you think tommy would be backing the black guy in a black vs white boxing contest you’ve been smoking spice.

Tommy isn't rascist, some of his mate's are black....apparentlychiggsy wrote: ↑25 Jun 2022, 11:06If you think tommy would be backing the black guy in a black vs white boxing contest you’ve been smoking spice.

I`m more surprised to see Naz Hamed out there in Saudi. Aren`t his Parents from Yemen?
I guess money comes before morals .. even for the already rich.

I think Boxing fans win either way to be honest.
We either get a win for AJ and the biggest Heavyweight Boxing match in U.K. History or we get an Usyk victory and we continue to see the upward trajectory of someone who may well go down as one of the all time greats in Boxing period. At least if he keeps up the way he's been.

Re: Who would you prefer to win: Usyk or Joshua?
I think AJ v Fury has lost the super fight appeal after Usyk emphasised AJs loss to Ruiz was no fluke and AJ is a Bruno-esque fighter after all.
If AJ manages to steam-roller Usyk by sheer size; which basically is his only chance, then it's not going to redeem his status to what it was before the Ruiz loss.
Yes it would be good to see AJ v Fury, but for me it's a couple losses too late. Similar to the Mayweather v Pacman fight; those recent losses just lose the magic-dust around it.
