It’ll likely never be reinvested.

Why would they? No point selling shares to pump back into the same company

Same reason anyone would want £150m.

Also they’ll want the PE house to bring some other expertise to it too.

It’s a really good time for Barry to liquidate part of the company. I can’t see how Matchroom can grow much more. Darts is in a great spot, snooker is doing much better now too and, thanks to DAZN, their boxing financials will be pretty strong too despite them struggling far more in the U.K.

You don’t sell a stake in your company and then put the money back in

Why would you give away 25% to a PE firm for nothing?

I hope when you sell your house you don’t take the equity and stick an extension on for the new owners.

You get this kind of thing in any thread that's to do with legal stuff, lawerly issues, finance etc.

You quickly find that the poster Ron who's from Norfolk's full name is Lieutenant Commander Detective Chief Inspector Ron Davies QC Esq MBE. But he's still a working class hero raised by wolves rubs a block of coal on his face before he goes out and all that.

Somone else pointed out there probably at the top of there game or close too it now , why not sell part of it while the price is going to be good ,, if Dazn fails in there bid for global monoploy and the powers that be stop pushing in hundreds of millions , matchrooms stock will go down , cash in some of it now , still got plenty left
