Can anyone explain to me why his height listed was changed from 6’4” to 6’0”?

Look at the photos no doubt he was well over 6’0. New York Times reported he “towered over” Marciano and they listed him at taller 6’

I think he looks at least 6’2

That's the newspaper link on Vingo's boxrec record which I assume they used to update his height. To me 6'0 looks more accurate judging by the footage of them, Marciano is crouching and he was closer to 5'9" and Vingo doesn't look like he had a huge height advantage to me. What photos of Vingo were you referring to where he looked well over 6'0"? Heights are often exaggerated, Tyson was claimed to be just under 6'0" at the start of his career. I remember Vingo being described as being 6'4" in Marciano's biography but not sure where that came from.

Off topic I didn't realise Vingo was that young, he only turned 20 two days before fighting Marciano who was 26 at that point.
