DAZN’s first U.K. PPV…

Post by maverick23 »

There are several rumours on Twitter that DAZN’s first U.K. boxing PPV will be announced today.

It’ll be KSI vs Alex Wassabi on August 27th at the O2.

Whilst I can understand the benefit it driving new subscribers, I hope it’s not on PPV. Also given it’s the week after the AJ fight, would they really do 2 PPVs (albeit to mostly different audiences) on back to back weeks?! 😢

Wasserman and Sauerland involved.

At least this isn’t the mega fight Hearn was talking about!

Absolutely zero interest in this.

You’d hope it’s not the mega fight that Hearn was referencing but he also Kugan would be very pleased with it. Kugan will be very pleased with this unfortunately 😳

To me, DAZN and Hearn are fornicating us genuine British boxing fans over completely. Absolute gash in the UK despite being told different and tbh without the Golden Boy fights it would be terrible.

That Swiss judge in Pulev v Chis I deserves to be shot. We are getting this wank rematch because of him.

I can’t see how Pulev loses this fight; it’s a mismatch imo.

Yeah. He was too hot to handle for KSI’s brother so now KSI is looking to avenge the defeat.

It doesn’t look as though Hearn’s been involved with us but I must admit I’ve been underwhelmed in the last few months with DAZN’s U.K. output. Not enough and they’re taking an age to get things confirmed.

I don’t mind the Chisora/Pulev fight. I do mind the undercard with Cash and Wardley still not having confirmed opponents 8 days out. I agree Pulev should be favourite but Chisora’s rarely in a bad fight.

Unless you get up in the middle of the night to watch American fights, UK DAZN subscribers are paying £8 to watch Chisora v Pulev and £8 to watch Dalton Smith the month after.

Yeah the British cards have been pretty shit, but it’s been worth the subscription price over the last few months for me, purely for the international cards. I don’t stay up to watch them, just watch the full thing on Sunday morning, much more enjoyable. But will keep an eye on the schedule as cancel again if it becomes no longer worthwhile.

I watch them too mate but the casual UK viewer doesn’t know who Bam Rodriguez is never mind wanting to watch him fight.

The DAZN app tbh is brilliant and allows you to watch the next day in its entirety without no chance of spoilers.
