Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?

...Bivol looking too big, too strong, too smart compared to a helpless legend..

The fight wasn't even remotely close and if Alvarez wasn't called Canelo it wouldn't even warrant a rematch.
Canelo won four rounds if you're really desperate to be kind to him.
I had it 9-3 Bivol.

please rewatch those rounds u gave to canelo without counting canelo's punches that hit bivol's guard as landed but as blocked as the rules say so(doesn't matter which ones they actually were, cause fact of the matter is that canelo won zip rounds. zip. zero. 0. nulla. not a single one. period.

EO had this fight 114-114. iNTERESTING.
Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
Judges were guilty of that in several of Canelo fights. Lara was one. I think they counted some misses as well.adislav123 wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 10:51 please rewatch those rounds u gave to canelo without counting canelo's punches that hit bivol's guard as landed but as blocked as the rules say so(doesn't matter which ones they actually were, cause fact of the matter is that canelo won zip rounds. zip. zero. 0. nulla. not a single one. period.
Bivol fight was simply just too wide to justify their corruption. They still made it razor thin so not to piss off as many $people$.
Some say Canelo improved so much after Floyd, but he hasn't. He's just been more selective of opponents, and timed things right. He has a great looking resume though. Bivol was a mistake. In general, most people are stupid, easily fooled..in the U.S. at least.

If Canelo will go 12 hard rounds vs 40 y/o GGG, I doubt he'll rematch Bivol. But Canelo is gonna make very big money from these 2 fights deal with DAZN.Bandog wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 14:26Judges were guilty of that in several of Canelo fights. Lara was one. Bivol last fights (Castillo, Richards and Salamov) gave Canelo so much confidence that he could beat Bivol. It was so deceiving for Canelo. Even myself I thought Bivol would get beaten by Canelo.

Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
to tout my own horn, i 100 percent knew that canelo hasn't any chance to beat bivol legit. none.
the only question was will they fornicate him over with a fake draw/rematch or will they fornicate him over completely.
and i was fully convinced they'd do the latter. that's why i picked canelo by decision/robbery.
of course it's boxing and i'm not saying canelo doesn't got power, so there's always the possibility that a punch u don't see coming or step/lean into, lucky or not, lands right on the good night button or does structural damage which forces a stoppage.
but with bivol's defensive skillset, evasiveness and agility that chance was quite slim.
again. that bivol needed the 12th round on all three cards to avoid a draw is just crazy beyond believe.
one of the worst judging in boxing history. blatantly obvious corruption documented by those atrocious scorecards.
those 3 goon judges should never be allowed to judge any fight ever again.
that no investigation followed up is another scandal itself.

Bivol said that he wants in rematch to be treated like a champion. Bivol needs to have a strong word in selecting the judges otherwise he'd get jobbed big f. time in rematch.

If I were Bivol I'd have no interest in a rematch whatsoever. His victory was completely convincing, there's still a really strong chance of getting screwed over on the cards in a second fight, and he clearly has better options against real light heavyweights.apollo creed wrote: ↑05 Jul 2022, 15:56 Bivol said that he wants in rematch to be treated like a champion. Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
Yeah, this is the right momentum for Bivol and Beterbiev to unify bc both came after top wins. But the thing is that a Canelo rematch would bring to Bivol big money. We should see how Canelo does vs GGG next and then see if he will want to use the rematch clause to fight Bivol.squiggy wrote: ↑06 Jul 2022, 12:01If I were Bivol I'd have no interest in a rematch whatsoever. Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
I scored the fight recently and I have to admit, not being a Canelo fan, this fight was pretty darn close on my cards. I had it 8-4 but there were a few rounds that traditionally would have gone to Canelo had the judges not been as good as the crew that they put together for this one. 2 rounds go the other way on cards and we are looking at a draw or worse, a Canelo win.
Here’s why I think Canelo wins the rematch. If you watch the Bivol fight, Canelo aborted any and all head movement which is really F’ng surprising bc it’s really been one of his top attribute recently. Nothing. No head movement plus loading up on so many meaningless shots easily defended by Bivol. I honestly didn’t see any clear head shots absorbed by Bivol throughout the whole fight. It was like Canelo failed to game plan for this cat and started swinging for the fences bc his power late has always saved his bacon. Not this time. Bivol just stayed snapping the jab and the defensive awareness he presented was one of the best thst I’ve ever seen in a huge fight. He was on the cell phone in both ears and nothing got through. It must have been so frustrating for Canelo.

Canelo probably won 2 rounds. Bivol would be better prepared in rematch too. What I've noticed is that Bivol's footwork is the key to the victory. Canelo head and waist movement , baits and feints ain't gonna work against a naturally 175 lbs version of Lara in Bivol.caldo2025 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2022, 13:58 I scored the fight recently and I have to admit, not being a Canelo fan, this fight was pretty darn close on my cards. Canelo has stiff legs and a short reach. He could win the rematch if he'd try to fight negative, pot-shot and rely on very biased judging.

That how their mindset develops after being surrounded by a bunch of yes men, that are afraid to upset the diva by being honest with him. I doubt if it will change now, but think he would benefit from a new team and trainer.adislav123 wrote: ↑07 Jul 2022, 14:03canelo himself actually thought he won clearly and the judges favoured bivol

Tbh even GGG is very diplomatic and nice about Canelo, knowing that this 3rd fight is gonna provide to him enogh money to retire.
Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
I think that you need to watch it again, Bud. Bivol really only had 4 clear winning rounds that were way too obvious to steal from him. The rest really depended upon what the judges were prepared to score. I’d say that Bivol did slightly better than Lara did with Canelo and yes people definitely complained about that result but it was a stealable decision as I believe this one clearly was. You could tell by the surprised corner of Bivol. Just my opinion which sucks a lot of the time I’ll admit.apollo creed wrote: ↑06 Jul 2022, 15:51Canelo probably won 2 rounds. Re: Is there anybody that had Canelo-Bivol fight a draw or a close fight ?
According to Compubox, there was not a single round that Canelo out landed Bivol. Bivol basically doubled Canelo in terms of total punches landed,
Compubox at least gives us an indication about how the fight went.
