This is a mega fight, really hope it happens, but I’m holding myself down, in case it doesn’t

Stupid fight - and those taking their cut should be ashamed to be pushing it.

When you think about it Benn has not gone about his buisness quietly , in fact he's turned into a loudmouth , cocky so and so ,, and got to the stage people and even his own fans are virtually demanding he fights a live opponent , someone who is'nt smaller , older and 4 years past there best ,,, There lies the problem , WHO , you look around there is no one really well not too many who fit the bill , in guys he can easly beat ,
Start with the elite of the division Spence ,, Crawford , IF it happenned they would'nt be cheap and would murder him ,, Ellis , well he's an up and comer and would murder him . Porter , would'nt be cheap and not gonna happen ,, Mickey really fit the bill , smaller , sick of the game , looks good on paper ,, But he retired and spoilt there party .
So what do you do , say chase Taylor if he's coming up in weight , trouble is he would probably be too much for Benn , Couple of others around Britain , but they would stand a chance of winning and not be mega sells ,
All in all Ben due to a bit of talent , grteat matchmaking , and a big mouth and cocky attitude , needs and the boxing fans are demanding to fight someone with a pulse ,, but who .
Hello ,, Eubank , will sell based on there fathers ,, would be ppv , which Dazn would love ,, will probably get beat , yet unlike after all the others murder the big mouth little twerp ,, people will hail him a hero for taking on a bigger guy , his carreer will remain he'll still be cocky , and it gives them lots of breathing space ,
Has much has most don't think it will happen , i'm not so sure , its probably there smartest move the loss will not affect him , and the money will be well beyond what he's actually worth , but most importantly it bides them time for him to wait out the top echelon who are not getting any younger

Conor Benn will need to be a revelation at the higher weight to stand any chance !
I think most reasonably minded fans would be more than happy seeing Benn challenge Avanysan for the European title, at his correct weight

This is going to happen isn’t it. Talking about it on talkSPORT now.

I like the fight. It’s intriguing; both want to win and it shows balls from Benn.

Not the fight I'd like to see Benn in just now tbh and I lost interest in Eubank's career years ago but I still think it is an exciting and interesting fight, strange choice for Benn but maybe a gamble worth taking this stage just before he reaches world level, a loss up at this weight won't be as damaging, I've never really bought into the Golovkin ruining Brook's career spin, Brook never lived the life and was dogged by injury, fighters get knocked out all the time in their natural weight classes, I'm not sure Brook at that age ever beats Spence even if he hadn't fought Golovkin, he was getting on
If this fight gets made I'm not gonna be overjoyed but I can imagine I'll be balls deep into it come fight week, not as good as Thurman but way more exciting than Hooker

I don’t mind the fight, but if DAZN put it on PPV and still claim they’re changing the game, I’ll be sending a strongly worded tweet to Eddie registering my displeasure.

I recall the fights from the early 90s, there was so much pre fight tension, now potentially the Sons are going to fight, the build up will be quality

It’s a good fight yes but far away from being called a mega fight. It’s a good British fight that’s about it. Full props to Benn taking it though, I just hope Eubank can perform at the weight
Re: Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr - 8th October London (rumour)
I would give Ava a 90% chance of sparking Benn out.
Way too much risk with the only reward (if he won) would be the European and I think Ava is #2-3 or there about with one of the orgs.

Why would Benn take thos fight now? Can understand eubank, buti isnt Benn supposed to be making a run at welter?
Is Benn looking to Cash out already? No confidence in his ability to title at 147

Re: Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr - 8th October London (rumour)
For different reasons. I'd be shocked if Dad Nigel was happy with this. Equally,I'm not sure Eubank Snr would like to see this, either. It really worries me that a granite chinned Eubank Jr,in his physical prime and with a possible 10lbs weight advantage on the night can be allowed to face a much smaller relatively untested Conner Benn. Jr may not be the biggest puncher in his weight class but he's a respectable puncher. If you know boxing you know there are many worrying reasons why this is a bad idea. Unfortunately, this could happen because all anyone involved will be thinking about is how much money they can make,as usual. This is not a fight where the smaller boxer is more experienced or superior in every department in order to justify the bout going ahead. it is the other way round imo

Full props to Benn for taking it ,,,, This is excatly what i was saying , i don't give him props for it , fight Averysan at his own weight , fight Ellis at his own weight , challenge Taylor who's coming up to the weight , fight Porter , Spence or Crawfor , then give full props and a bit more ,,, this is like i said the safest loss he dould have while still remaining relevant , he propels himself forward with a loss because he's smaller and earns big money doing it ,,smiling assassin wrote: ↑14 Jul 2022, 17:27 It’s a good fight yes but far away from being called a mega fight. This is a carefully clearly clinical well thought out, nothing to lose fight , because who knows Eubank may be weak losing the weight

This is Garcia v Spence all over again. The smaller guy selling his unbeaten record for the money
