Full props to Benn for taking it ,,,, This is excatly what i was saying , i don't give him props for it , fight Averysan at his own weight , fight Ellis at his own weight , challenge Taylor who's coming up to the weight , fight Porter , Spence or Crawfor , then give full props and a bit more ,,, this is like i said the safest loss he dould have while still remaining relevant , he propels himself forward with a loss because he's smaller and earns big money doing it ,,

This is a carefully clearly clinical well thought out, nothing to lose fight , because who knows Eubank may be weak losing the weight

So it's at a 156lb catchweight? Money talks and after all they are ultimately looking to make the most money they can. I guess a lot hinges on how the weight affects them both, might suit Benn more and not be so great for Eubank. You would think Eubank will be the stronger guy with height and reach advantage. If Benn goes all guns blazing he will likely be walking onto shots.

Don’t think the weight issue is massive tbh. At 155lbs Eubank is no bigger than 165lbs fight night and you can manage that with an hydration clause. Benn like Eubank isn’t a massive cutter and he will be around 162/163lbs.

Geezes people hate benn. Fights someone small or old they cry. No he is in talks with someone Big and good and 32 and they are crying about him cashing out.

Sure, fighting a top welter would be nice, but geezes you have to appreciate this fight if it happens. its a grudge match, with 30 years history, between 2 of the UKs top guys, masssive step up for someone thats been relitivly protected. the bigger of the twos a bit slick, then smallers got great power and agression.

3 years ago Benn was universaly recognised as shit at 147lb. Now people are sooking about the prospect of him fighting a world levle middleweight. It might not be smart, but its fornicating fun if it happens.



P.s i actualy dont think this fight happens, Garath said it was sighned but weight not agree'd.... which is as good as not signed yet becauase thats the toughest part of the negotation....

Watched a youtube video with Joe Gallagher.....and I think he is right.

I think both Eubank and Benn have done fantastic given the legacy of their respective fathers. They have both worked their nuts off to get to the standard they have. Both are on the fringes of world class but never anywhere near elite. Eubank in now a SMW and Benn a WW. Financially it make wonderful sense to rekindle a 'throwback' rivalry that is only about generating as much interest and money for both as possible.....which is ok.....it is what it is.

As Joe says what if CEJ comes in a few pounds over and pays a penalty just to get fight on and walks through Benn. Benn has been through no real hardship in his career.....been avoiding punchers as he 'develops'. If he was a serious talent he could go through the traditional route of British, Commonwealth, European and fight for world titles after. Remember seeing Conor standing post fight next to Eddie a few years ago saying he wants the millions. Fair enough he'll get them I am sure.

Apparently the combined purse could be £7m with the winner getting slightly more. I do think Benn could be in trouble though if Jnr makes the weight comfortably, Groves couldnt hurt him so Benn won't. I guess if Benn loses though it wont hurt his legacy and I dont he would make that kind of money against the killers at WW.
