Probably because everyone is waiting on the fragile ego and mental state of Garcia. My advice would be to choose a different sport. Boxing, wrestling, mma, etc, are sports where the weak minded will be exposed, and fall.
really your not Garcia fan then, i think ryan is a huge talent i rate him to go on to be par oscar de la hoya, ryan got up from a big luke campbell shot he aint no coward he has that Mexican blood in abundance
Garcia is so far from even deserving to being mentioned in the same sentence as DLH, it isn't even funny. He could probably look as good in a pair of fishnets, but even that is up for debate. (or we could just ask our resident expert EO) He has potential. Let's leave it at that for now.
how tho he is a young man garcia why aint you supporting him dont get it . i am saying he will be bigger than odl of course he isnt there yet but he has such potential get behind him

Yes, he is a young man, good boxer, with a mouth that makes him look stupid considering what he's accomplished so far. Sometimes guys like him just need opportunities, but he's pissed some away already.
He blatantly ducks Haney, then talks all this other shit. He's got a long, long, way to go. Think about the words potential, contender, champion, hall of fame, etc. He can't get there by talking, and his mental issues are a big red flag in any combat sport. Just being honest.

Forgot about this. Really fun fight in my opinion. Fortuna went close with easter and close with Diaz and is a southpaw who whacks harder than luke campbel, is durable, so its a solid test.

Anyone know if garcia is staying 140lb? or just a temporary thing?

Veron just got reffered to as "a granite chinned fighter" and Mckinson dropped him twice when they fought. Does this mean Mckinson is now considered a devastating puncher?

Ryan Garcia is one of the most exciting fighters in this era. I really like him, the ko against Campbell was ko of the year in my opinion. But I also like Fortuna, actually I think he beat J. Diaz last summer. This is a good fight. The Rocha bros do not speak to me though.

Veron just waking up for the last part... Roach/Rodriguez was kind of a waste too, even if Lamont has got a lot better since losing to Jamel.

Fortuna is dead tonight. His body literally looks as bad as mine right now. No Ab awareness at all unless he gets sick and you might see the top two if lucky. I just saw him hitting the pads and it looked like my chick in her little boxing gym that makes them think that they are getting in shape and could avoid attackers. Truth is, the cars gone along with her pocket book. This one’s gonna be gross.

I hope Garcia goes far. He's great for this sport. Very crowd-pleasing style. Can be as big as Canelo if he's matched right and can beat guys like Tank and Lopez.

KingRy 30 - 27. He is on point tonight, even defensively, which helps against a guy like Fortuna.

Fortuna got dropped to the body and intentionaly spat his mouthgaurd as he stood up. ref spends an extra 20+ seconds rinsing it... that has to be a no warning point. I think intentional or not if your mouthgaurd comes out it should be a point, it always hapens when people are hurt and can buy them 20 + seconds, its bulshit.

Garcia looked gigantic and very disciplined. Looked like a WW fighting a SFW, tbh. I hope he fights Tank next.

Nope, he just stated that 140 is his new home. He wants Tank at 140. Very smart move on his part. Dude looked like a WW in there and will be the bigger man on fight night. He's looking the hest he's ever looked under Goosen. Very disciplined.

Didn't look like a fair fight. Garcia looked to have huge size and age advantage, if if fights tank in next year or so I got tank as a huge favorite...

Huge favorite? That's for scrubs. Garcia is the hardest puncher he'll have faced, and Tank doesn't do defense. At 140, I'd give Garcia the edge here too. Dude looked gigantic in that ring and Fortuna is probably similar in size to Tank.

@Bandog

So what did you think of Ryan’s performance? Still think Haney would beat him??

The fight had its obvious outcome. Fortuna wasn't a threat. Garcia isn't that good, he has the range, the power and the handspeed, but he always throws with his chin leaning forward. Davis and Kambo gotta ice him. The likes of Haney and Loma are on the other level.

Pleased to see Goosen still rocking the double denim.
