Anyone been to a YouTuber fight?

Post by 1055825 »

My son, who is 11, has asked if we can go to the KSI fight in august. I was wondering if anyone on here had been to an event headlined by YouTuber boxers.

I’ve been to plenty of fights myself and I wouldn’t dream of taking him to a large event involving professionals, unless we had floor/ringside seats. But I was wondering if anyone would know if the crowds would likely be less boisterous, less smoking in the toilets, less peeing in the sinks and less fighting in the crowd!!

TIA

I’d imagine most of the crowd will be too busy taking selfies for Insta to be thinking about causing any trouble.

Yeh, it's a different fanbase they attract.

I went to the first KSI-Logan Paul, at the MEN as my kids were absolutely desperate to go.
At the time it was mainly full families with most kids under 12, it’s kinda how I’d imagine a atomic kitten pop concert.
It’s a really different audience and atmosphere to normal fight night, it was quite strange, but nice in a way to see such a young audience at a boxing event.
Not sure if their fanbase has grown with some of these YouTubers or it remains a family audience.

Just seen on a news report some YouTubers call Ed Matthews and Simple Simon had a 'boxing' match last night.
Simple Simon is 52 years old and Matthews is 19.
The fight ended in 48 seconds with Simon being laid out face first.

WTF is happening to the sport, how is this being allowed.

Thats the question I have been asking a lot about boxing im recent months.

I could of gone to the Sunderland show today on a freebie but decided against it as there was too many predictable outcomes to fights

I was curious what his channel was. Seems to involve his daughter a bit. Looks completely banal. He got a quick pasting, could have been worse. I bet his codes have gone up regardless.

I assumed he was reviewing frozen food or something.
