I noticed a fight has been added to my amateur record, although it's not complete. This latest fight was a loss I had at the 1978 National AAU Tournament in Biloxi, Mississippi. It is listed as a "TKO" loss to Lonzo Barnes at 178 lbs. The fight was stopped due to a severely sprained ankle. Not because I was getting hit. I was actually winning the fight, but I injured my ankle so bad, I couldn't even run for the following 4 months. At best it should be listed as an RSC...I was not even close to being TKOed. It should have been put down as an RSCI....Referee Stops Contest due to Injury. I have newspaper articles from 1978 talking about the fight and the ankle injury.
