It's actually not too bad in the scheme of things Wes.
Helenius showed us twice what an opponent using their face as their main defence equals.
I think that unless Adam has revised his whole strategy, then Ali is going to show us again that making an easy target is going to be a downfall.

Personally I would have loved to see Babic Vs Kownacki, if styles make fights that one would be fan friendly in a sideshow novelty sort of way.

Either Kownacki's stamina/output wins this or his chin loses it

An even matchup, sounds interesting. Without the Helenius losses Kownacki would be a clear favorite, but fighters are easy to be judged by their last performances and it's a question, how Adam can come back after a couple of bad beatdowns in a row. Demirezen is a solid boxer, fighting him isn't gonna be a walk in the park for many of the current contenders.

That's such a brutally difficult comeback fight. I'm assuming Kownacki finally figured out he can't wait around. Dude will never even sniff a title at the rate he's been going.

I can't even look up boxers anymore, with this new format that boxrec implemented. :verysad:

Kownacki can't fight tall guys. That's his achilles.

How tall is this Ali Eren..?

Kownacki looked Way Better against Big Chris. Adam and Chris are both Fat and Very Short compared to Big Tall Viking Rob.

Kownacki takes this one I think, but it should be an entertaining battle either way.

Got no idea who wins this. Hope it’s kow, just because I see him as a good addition to boxing if he can get a few wins. Kow Vs efe would be fun.

Kownacki looks awful physically but you can see why he wins fights, lots of output

Demirezen looks pretty rough physically too, and it's hard to see how he wins fights, but he does, he wins ugly but he wins.

This is the kind of fight Demirezen wins just by pressuring and out toughing Kownacki.

Kownacki should have picked an easier comeback fight, a real warmup. This isn't a warmup and Demirezen makes people fight weird fights and have to figure him out.

He's got a chin too, Ajagba pummelled him for 10 rounds and didn't make a dent (won easily, though, since he could just tee off at range, which Kownacki can't do, the two are the same height, and Demirezen has an 80" reach)

I respect Kownacki for taking this..
If he is still using the face forward defence, it isn't going to be pretty.

cannot believe how stacked is this card. I litteraly just wanna sit and watch all 13 fights

https://boxrec.com/en/event/856938

Not high profile fights, but lot of evenly matched.

Demirezen is definitely better schooled than Kownacki, but it's a question, if he can be good enough to deal with Kownacki's output. Helenius fought in the textbook style of a tall boxer-puncher. Demirezen is a different type of a fighter.

I am hoping Sky pick it up, they sometimes do work with Showtime.

Edit: just checked the guide, they ain't showing it :verysad:

Nah, I think he can still make rank fighting Ajagba Hunter, or rematching Martin. Dude really needs an easy fight before doing that, though. Someone on the level of a Mike Mollo.

Why retire? He may never be a serious contender but the sport needs gatekeepers and journeymen too

He's a brave fighter but leads with his chin.
I worry for him as a punchbag for prospects.

he is not even a gatekeeper and if he was put in with someone heavy handed will get hurt

With wins over Washington, Arreola and Martin he easily fits into the gatekeeper journeymen role

Kownacki is a new version of Arreola.
