What is DAZNs Aug/Sept “Subscription Schedule”

Post by maninthemiddle »

Not sure it’s worth keeping DAZN for next 2 months...is there anything scheduled apart from the Sheffield show??
I do wonder if they leave announcements late to keep you subscribed...

Jousce Gonzalez vs Jose Angulo tops the bill tomorrow in an 8 rounder, another Golden Boy prospect show and Vergil Ortiz vs Michael McKinson next month as well, it is pretty bare but July/August is always boxings quiet season

Yeh, it’s worth keeping depending on if you like the GBP cards.

Even then, it’s still a bit dry.

Sept 3rd we have Smith vs. Mwakinyo in Liverpool.

Oh yeh. Sorry.

That’s Sky.

Too many broadcasters now days. Don’t even know who’s fighting where half the time.

I think GGG/Canelo is included in the subs in the U.K.

Nothing else yet announced for the U.K. but the McKinson/Ortiz card looks good now.

Are they even bothering now ? I wonder how soon Matchroom fighters will start jumping ship to Boxxer etc ? Not even a show in Eddie's back garden and their biggest attraction Shannon Courteney has disappeared without trace

I cancelled mine, will re-sub for the GGG fight. Dunno why the “reason for cancellation” exit survey doesn’t include an option for “Fvck all scheduled” :maybe:

It’s a boxing only app in the UK, with little or no boxing for long periods. That other boxing only channel had a more regular schedule I think. The “habit” of watching this app just doesn’t get started...

Yeh. Don’t see why DAZN uk don’t try picking up other cards that are abroad.

Gonna hit it on the head I think, hearing Hearn say that the Benn/ Eubank fight will be PPV is a right turn off.

These fights are easy enough to find a stream for.

Clearly Eubank/Benn is a ppv fight, not a defining fight in either man's division but a monster fight, not the fight I'd like to see either guy take especially Benn, it has no bearing on his progress at welterweight but at the same time, a loss to Eubank will be less damaging than a loss at fringe 147, an unbeaten Benn against Eubank Jr makes more money, so actually not a bad fight, Benn too small, Eubank weight drained, usual shite excuses, count me in

Not by any definition is it a PPV fight.
A has been Vs a fringe contender for not even a title except maybe the "Prince of Twitter" because Tyson Fury will not hand over his crown as king.

It's because who they are it's a ppv fight, I'd have put my mortgage on it the day Benn turned pro that it would be a ppv fight if it ever came off, don't need no titles or anything because it means nothing to the landscape of boxing whoever wins or loses, no way they would make the fight without ppv, they're dad's have the biggest rivalry in British boxing history and chances are it will smash Fury's ppv numbers and most of Joshua's as well if not all of his, this is a monster fight make no mistake, the numbers will justify why it's ppv and why the likes of Whyte and Chisora shouldn't be

Yeh it's not a fight im particularly interested in, I'd much rather see Benn in with a top 10 Welter but the numbers will be through the roof I'd imagine and everyone will watch even the cynics

Don't know how true it is but would be a blow to subscribers.

That would be a step to far for me and would result in cancellation of my sub.

I haven’t seen anything about it other than this but Everything Boxing is seemingly right on things more often than not.

One of the few reasons to keep your subscription over the next couple of months is now PPV.

Game really changed.
