Shame to see probellum go the way it has.

Same with MTK. They were both great for boxing. Not looking to get into a debate, just saying we as boxing fans are missing out.
I completely agree.

100 % right. I miss Probellum ( ultimately it wasn’t around for very long ) but I really miss MTK fights on IFL TV and Top Rank. They were good shows, often with an attractive main event and it always felt like a bonus when they were broadcast. Some people on the various forums were delighted when both companies were, realistically, scrapped but these are also the people who want DAZN, Sky Boxing , BT boxing etc to fail also. They are a strange kind of boxing fan. I’ve never been a drug taker or know anything about that business or whether these companies were legitimate or not but I enjoyed the fights and feel sorry for the fighters that are currently in limbo. They took the best deal and there’s nothing wrong with that. I just enjoy watching decent boxing shows and these guys were putting on decent shows. I rather not turn into some sort of maiden aunt, fainting at the suggestion of wrongdoing as some seem to want to and let morality be governed by those with power. Thankfully everyone in government and law and order never do anything wrong and that’s why we sleep so soundly in our beds.

MTK put on some decent small hall shows, with some competitive matchmaking.

However, when you aren't concerned with financial viability, then you can afford to do that and not worry about ticket sales or broadcasting fees.

It was never going to last forever.

No it's a strange kind of human being who keeps turning a blind eye to a heroin pushing gang of murderers who've filled the streets of Ireland with filth and blood, have gang rapists and terrorists working for them, because they use their dirt money to put on fights that entertain you and it's none of your business cus you just like boxing and people are snowflakes and the government does bad things too

It's nauseating at this point

Are you saying Daniel Joseph Kinahan had financial resources that were not legitimate?? Don't worry he won't take you to court, he can't, for some reason he will never come back to Ireland

Well no harm mate but boxing has enough parasites, sure Kinahan could afford to buy all sorts of young prospects and pay them well, because of his dad's massive drug business, that was never going to be sustainable. Now the Saudis sports washing with the oil money, even though they still heavily donate to and influence the Salafist Mosques courting extremist gangs indoctrinated into bombing Europe, which many Kinahan supporters here do not like at all

It's pretty much beyond repair at this point

Kinahans got some great connections with those Sheikhs, must be his personality

No harm taken. You’re absolutely right actually. It’s called looking at the big picture which was something that I wasn’t really doing.

There's no doubt kinahan needs to be not only removed from boxing but serving serious prison time but the fact is boxing was in a better place when mtk were involved, people say boxing was better run when the mob were involved too, it's not justifying criminality and I'm not saying I wish they were still involved I'm just stating an opinion that is pretty hard to dispute but I think that's saying more about the state of the sport at the minute

Why don't Probellum sue Eurosports?

They cancelled the tv deal.

Why was that? because if DK connections?

What's the difference.

It was a short term deal I think (just 2 or 3 shows) and Eurosport probably had a break clause in there.

It’s one thing going after a relatively young promotional company, it’s another going after Warner Bros Discovery.

Nope - they’re legally going after Boxxer. They wouldn’t go after Sky because they wouldn’t stand a chance and it would cost millions.

So Probellum we’re suing Boxxer, but now they’ve released to Caterall to box for them? Doesn’t sound odd at all, does it?

It sounds odd but I get it. They can’t offer him the Taylor fight whilst Boxxer can. Plus Catterall would have likely signed with Probellum for big guarantees which would be tough to provide when they’re not on TV.

I’d imagine that Jack would have paid Probellum to be released from his deal with some of the funds coming from the Taylor rematch.
