Hypothetical match up

Post by wrighty »

I've had a thought. I've seen that Josh Kelly is being vocal on the Web about a fight with Troy Williamson. What about Kelly vs Eggington. I know the ibo isn't a proper world title but I think the match would be intriguing. Kelly is flash but it remains to be seen how much of that remains after the Ava drubbing, Egginton is tough with a great engine but hasn't got the ko power. How would this fight pan out?

I would like to see it.

That would be a very intriguing match up. Ava's engine was what helped in his fight with Kelly, so style wise I think Eggington would be very difficult for Kelly - but Eggington isn't as good as Ava though.

The other intriguing factor would be the weight, is Kelly now rejuvinated at 154 or was it just an excuse.

Great shout for a fight.

People think Newcastle v Sunderland will automatically sell. It won't. Neither are sellers up there.

Eggington will probably get smashed by Pigford in his next fight.

Most ppl in newcastle dont kow who troy is as he's from darlo. If he was a proper geordie then it would be easier to market, look at Ritson and Laws - they pull in crowds without being great, but the fact is ppl from newcastle regard anyone south of the tyne as mackems!
