Pretty much this. Andrada wasted the chances to fight a top name but if he made M's by fighting stiffs then good for him.

Tbh , even big Charlo is a waste of time for the boxing fans.

I agree to a certain extent, but at least Jermall Charlo’s handlers made serious attempts within the last few months to make bouts against Munguia and Canelo.

Therefore, he deserves a lot less flack than Andrade does, despite Jermall’s resume at 160lbs not being particularly impressive.

I have the feeling Andrade ain't gonna fight Janibek, vacate and move up. Janibek ain't no joke.

If Andrada would fight Benavidez at 168 lbs on SHO, then its a good fight. :box:

I doubt Janibek will ever get a crack at those fighters. He'd need to fight all the top contenders like Adames, Falcao, Chenko and Murata to get a crack at all titles. GGG's route.

Andrade would probably vacate his title.

The jury is still out on Janibek. He won a close split decision vs a guy that Zach Parker easily KO'd. Wins over a so-so Brant and way past it N'Dam doesn't make you a favorite against the top guys in the division, or mean everyone is ducking him.

Well, if he’s no good, then why did Andrade, Munguia and Falcao duck him?

Journeyman are always getting ducked, aren’t they?

This mw division looks poor like when Sturm, Quillin, Martinez, JCCJr were active.

I'll type slow so you'll understand. You're obsession with fighters ducking each other is nothing short of legendary. That said, Janice isn't even to the point in his career to even consider him a legit contender. He could be an ATG, who knows? Guess what, he has to beat some greats to prove it. Same as Andrade wants to do. A win over Janibek does nothing for Andrades career. He would be better off dumping the belt and be made mandatory for the other major belts. Charlo GGG.

Demetrius Andrade’s WBO world middleweight title reign comes to an end in roughly two weeks’ time.

The thing is if Jany will get that mw wbo title, he'd be avoided like Andrade was too. Then at 35 y/o Jany would probably try to get a big fight, same like Andrade. The irony.

Golovkin pushed so hard to get all the titles at mw bc champions like Sturm, Quillin, Martinez, Cotto, Canelo have ducked him at that time.

Tbh Janibek has a slightly better win on his record at mw in Rob Brant than Andrade@mw which is laughable for Andrade. lol

Andrada is buthurted bc he doesn't have BJS's luck with the wbo belts.

Although Andrade deserves a certain amount of criticism for lack of big names on his resume, he did try to get some. BJS, for example, was not Andrade's fault. (Personally, I think anyone pissing hot after signing to fight should be an automatic L on their records, same rule should apply if they piss hot after a fight) It also wasn't fault that Mall Charlo and Canelo turned down huge money, only to take their next fights for less money. GGG was never interested, and Munguia turned down his mandatory shot at his belt.

Honestly, I am sick of discussing Andrade. Same BS over and over and over. Let's not mention his name until he gets a good fight signed. Same with Charlo.

did you actually watch the fight vs vaughn alexander, or just pull a boxrec? he won like 7 rounds at least, the split decision was horrible judging. most fan scores ive seen for the fight are 80-72........

I'm trying to figure out who Alimkhanuly has fought to be considered the #1 contender.
He has fought no one of note.
But the Andrede's resume sucks too. So who knows how this fight will turn out

Let’s be honest, you’re not really “trying to figure out” anything, are you, because all you have to do is use BoxRec or Google?

• Zhanibek Alimkhanuly’s amateur pedigree (according to the stats cited by The RING) are outrageously impressive (record 300-8; nine-time Kazakhstan national champ, two-time Asian champ; and 2013 World Championship gold medallist)!

• Zhanibek Alimkhanuly’s opponents during 2021 were Rob Brant and Hassan N'Dam, both former champions boasting victories over the former WBA super world middleweight champion, Ryota Murata (the fighter GGG fought less than four months ago).

• Zhanibek Alimkhanuly is currently rated 5th by The RING and 4th by ESPN.

• Earlier this year, the likes of Demetrius Andrade, Esquiva Falcao and Jaime Munguía have all flatly-refused to consider facing Zhanibek Alimkhanuly. These guys didn’t even consider the ‘risk versus reward’ conundrum when they rejected the opportunity to fight Alimkhanuly, because they didn’t even bother asking Top Rank what their paydays would have been.

Your BoxRec forum moniker has existed for three years, and in that time you’ve submitted (ballpark figures cited by BoxRec):

• 100 posts containing the word "duck"
• 125 posts containing the word "ducking"
• 75 posts containing the word "avoid"
• 75 posts containing the phrase "turned down"
• 50 posts containing the word "rejected"
• 6 posts containing the phrase "turn down"

From a mathematical perspective, it means that you submit an average of three posts every week to the forum discussing someone's ducking of a rival.

That's "nothing short of legendary." :OhYes:

Well, thats true and I agree, and also banned for a few years. But Andrada also declined some fights with Mell , Korobov, Hurd/Lara and Chenko.

Jani had a hard fight vs Alexander. Zach Parker stopped Alexander is 2.

I guess Jani ain't no the next GGG or Pirog.
